In this video I show you how to do a transmission service that can be repeated multiple times if needed. I show all the needed tools and equipment. This demonstration is for a routine maintenance service and not meant to diagnose or repair any shifting or drivability issues.
Volvo doesn't recommend replacing the fluid. However I see daily that it should be replaced every 30-40 thousand miles. Especially in very hilly areas.
**Disclaimer*** If your vehicle is not shifting well and has trouble codes for transmission operation, you should not service it. You will need to take it to a professional for diagnostic. Servicing a failing transmission can speed up the failing process. Proceed with caution.
