As a mother, gangs really upset me. Most of it are little boys dying...13, 15...19. Regardless of how grown they're pretending to be, they're still children. Any life taken is wrong but when it's a kid it's even more heart breaking. Then people rap along with songs mocking their deaths. It's a sad world.
Parents fault. I feel bad, but there is a part of me that doesnt, sorry to say. You know why I never got into it even though my mom had to work a bunch? Because I was busy outside of school until she got off. Takes minimal effort and not being a friend to your kid.

The kid grows up with a broke single parent suddenly a drug dealer rolls by with nice clothes nice jewelry and a nice car and with the poor education in those areas the kids see that as the only way out. It's a problem with America and not doing more to clean up black communities. (Also the culture, violent music, racism, there's alot or factors)

A lot of Chicago's hoods look like that outside of the projects (some of the projects actually look nice too). There are still people that try to keep things looking good despite all them YNs being outside all the time. Most of those homes are owned by older people.

I am a Bosnian Immigrant who survived real war 1992-1995. I immigrated to the USA in 1998. I lived in the hood growing up with my best friends being blacks. We ran the streets and did alot of dumb shit but we never looked for trouble and for some reason it found us. We fought alot because we had to but we lived to see another day and thats how we settled our beefs. Today no one fights and instead they use they blikkis and up on the ones they beefing with and let loose. These kids today are cutthroat and will kill you for nothing. Nothing like when we were growing up. We had OG’s, today there are no OG’s to them. It has become crazy out here. Rap and gang banging has changed everything, everyone shooting now.
Ima a kid well 17 to b exact and recently a couple days ago I got into a fight. I was raised by real stand up ppl and my grandma nem. I even lost the fight and the other kid threatened to kill me w a gun. Bottom line there’s still kids out there that stand on morals and principles. I’m going to be on point just in case the threat wasn’t empty but nevertheless I fought because I knew it was better to settle the beef like that then to shoot guns. I’m 110 lbs btw. Dude taller, longer, bigger, and a lil older than me (he’s 18) but I still wasn’t scared.
