Your new shawl design has probably the most brilliant use of shawl tassel ever!! I love everything about the whole shawl, and just bought some dark colored farm roving at Vermont Sheep & Wool Festival to spin up for it. (So don’t rush the publishing, as I have plenty of pre-release work to do! 😉). Your Oracle shawl as was one of the most fun knits I’ve ever done, and it was the first time I had used your lovely yarn. I’m really looking forward to knitting Stoker later this autumn. 🖤
I have to admit I was all...”Ok it’s going to be a pretty shawl...meh...” and then you talked through it and I went all 😍 which is so unusual because I thought I was all shawled out!
I love all the Edwardian details in your new shawl Stoker. The tassels are a perfect finishing touch. Exquisite design! Fig colourway is Stunning! The Lore yarns you ordered that weren’t the colours you imagined. . . I wonder if they have a colour sample card with yarns attached of their collection that can be sent to you? Love the reference to the aliens on Sesame Street. One of my favourite shows as a child
ooh, I need a Stoker shawl in my life! I am always drawn to your design features as they seem to blend perfectly my preferences in fashion and style. Elegant and unique details that are not over the top, or frilly and also the added aspect of dark, mysterious or brooding elements that you pull from victorian era. I am just barely getting to a place in my life where I can start purchasing patterns and yarns I feel are worthy of them and I want to say thank you for releasing your designs. I look forward to purchasing them soon.
Ooh! Send me your tangled handspan and I'll untangle it for you! (I enjoy untangling yarn) Your new deign is simply gorgeous and so clever. I love how you were inspired by your favorite vintage designs!!
Thanks, Selma! I actually started swatching for it several months ago and let it fall to the wayside ... until I started tidying my craft room and stumbled on the swatch again. Funny how inspiration works! 😂
I just started watching your videos here for the first time - I can't get over your resemblance to Anna Kendrick - wow! Anyway, back to watching this video. :)
Cruel Prince and Wicked King are so good and I love the narration! I just finished book 2 and book 3 isn't out, but it actually got moved up to November so we don't have to wait too long.
I feel ya, my craft come spare room is bursting, so much so it's preventing me using it as easily.... Now that's a problem!!! Have you tried Shadow Hunters on Netflix?, I enjoyed it, I don't know how to describe it exactly but it has a real world/ magic world situation with vampires, warlocks, werewolves in a turf war and Fae causing trouble. It might be your flavour? Loving your new shawl design btw, I love all things Victorians and costume inspired too. Although I don't dress in the style as much as I would like.
There is a group on Ravelry called “Knit a Problem”. It’s made up of those who love to untangle yarn barf. Perhaps you can find someone in that group to untangle your hand spun for you so that you can knit it into something beautiful.
I am awesome with yarn barf... some kind of special ( wow... let's try spatial...) awareness savant or something... if you want to send it my way I can fix it for you...
Hey Kristen. I was just wondering if you could give me a birthday shout out on your next video thanks so much for your amazing knitting podcast every Friday.
Elinar, please do that! It would be so sad to throw it away just because is tangled! I'm to far away to send it to me,but I would offer that in a second!
