Part 12 in the this series where I am building the Voron 2.4 3D printer.
This video is all about the Voron extruder, or the Clockwork as it is also called.
At the end of the main assembly I added a shot of how the internal components of the extruder work together under the hood in order to help others like me who have difficulties figuring out how to close the latch properly ;)

The plastic washer should be at the oposite side of the spring. You can hear the sound of the spring against the plastic as you scrolls the tension bolt.

why didnt you use the more recent galileo extruder instead?

I am building it from the kit I purchased fro formbot and I didn't have the option to choose the components for the galileo extruder. But will be playing with different configurations so I will be giving the galileo a try in the future.

Where can I purchase the spring? I got a dual drive extruder without spring :D Or any piece of the printer which can do the job? I tried a bed spring but the inserts couldn't handle it

If you only want the spring you can do a search on google for “DDB THUMBSCREW ASSEMBLY” and you should be able to find a website where you can order it.

What grease do youn use

You can use any kind of grease that's a bit thicker so it can stick. I am using a grease from E-COLL called "E-COLL high performance grease LZ", it's a universal grease for bearings rolling components.
