I have this same watch case. I have had mine for a couple of years. I ordered mine from Merenom before the war in Ukraine started. I have 3 Vostok watches and have had zero issues with any of them. If you can get a new balance complete it will be easy to fix your watch. They are basic movements. It's just bad luck to receive a bad watch from them.
I wish mine worked! I took the movement apart and found the balance spring destroyed. I ordered a new one and installed it but something is still preventing it from running. I'm officially out of my element and I think it needs an entire service. Not worth it for the price of a replacement. Learned a lot though!
I just saw another video where the guy wound it anticlockwise which seemed odd, but you could audibly hear the ratchet, so maybe try winding anticlockwise and see if that works
Hello there. Loved your video. Although just so you know youre winding it wrong. It doesnt wind like other conventional watches. You're supposed to roll the crown back and then forward. So wind a few clicks back and then forward (anti-clockwise then clockwise a few clicks) and then repeat till you feel feedback or tightening of the crown while winding. Hopefully this helps.
I took the watch apart completely and the internals were damaged in transit from bouncing around I'm guessing. The balance spring was completely bent out of shape. I ordered a new balance spring but have still been unable to get the watch to run. I think it needs a full service which isn't worth the time or money unfortunately.
Same. Today i received my vostok and second hand is freeze like that ... I opened the back case to check - that small spring is not moving.. Did you order a whole new movement?
With my one, the crown needs a bit of fiddling to get it to wind. Try holding the watch near your ear and gently push the crown in and out while turning it in both directions until you find the sweet spot.
