VOSTROYAN FIRSTBORN - REGIMENTS OF DISTINCTION Astra Militarum / Imperial Guard Regiment that has been in existence since just after the Horus Heresy, they are some of the most elite fighting forces in the Imperium. Better equipped, with higher elan, training and experience than near any other regiment in the Imperium of Mankind. The Firstborn of each family are sent to war for an ancient debt of honour. There is no story in this video, as it is entirely a history, so a story unto itself. The tanker battle versus the Tau will be concluded hopefully next week, as I found I could not fit it in appropriately without utterly disrupting the feel and flow of this one. The First Born constantly fight to repent against their sins during the Horus Heresy, and for ten thousand years of service in my humble opinion not do they restored their honor and gave their homeworld glory.

A magnificent history, gallantly told. In a Crusade game, I play an Astra Militarum regiment descended from a Vostroyan garrison, and didn't know the full import of that name. The information here conveyed indicates that my unit's cultural history is highly abnormal, but I shall nevertheless do my best to uphold the honor of the Firstborn. *Sniff*, aw man, the end really got me crying. I, too, cannot wait for the day that Guilliman looks upon the Vostroyans when he sees the courage, honor, determination, and loyalty of their Firstborn and pronounces their sins absolved and their honor restored.

According to the Caiphus Cain books (the best 40k fiction IMO) the Valhallans also reinforce their Regiments with fresh recruits, and keep traditions and honours down the years, although they will also merge Regiments if they suffer more than 50% casualties.

The Vostroyan sounds bad, but to a Kriegsmen the world of Vostroyan sounds like a paradise world. Provided the Kriegsmen is alive to take a vacation or is ordered to take a vacation as a part of the Emperor's will.

This was a great video, and I didn't think about what would happen if Guilliman visited and said the stain on their history and past transgressions has been paid, and the pure zeal, pride and utter morale boost that would bring would make the regiments if Vostroya fight like never before, and even perhaps, the strength of a full chapter of Astartes

Incredible as always Baldermort. I would love to see an interaction between the Vostroyan Firstborn and Guilliman in the current setting, if one doesn't already exist.

Why do i hear Sabaton playing with this jewel of the astra militarum?

It's hard to explain but regiments that resemble my ancestry have an emotional feel to it. I'm half Iraqi/Assyrian so when you did the video on the Desert Warriors I felt a weird kind of way. I'm also half Polish/Slavic so this video also made me feel oddly attached to these regiments.
