Love this song! In case anyone's interested... Originally, this band's name was "Casting Pearls." Curious about the band's current name, I found this on Wikipedia: "In 2008, the band changed its name to VOTA due to confusion with similarly-named Christian artist Casting Crowns. Originally, the name VOTA was a typo in an email from VOTA's then-current management team, Chaffee Management, as the band, management and label were brainstorming new names. The name VOTA was ultimately chosen by the band as being without a specific meaning and having a bit of mystery to it, allowing their fans to individually interpret the meaning. In summer 2008, while performing at an Oklahoma summer camp, the band discovered the name does have a spiritual meaning. Vota is a Latin root word that stands for a collection of vows before God." Guys- There is so little justice in the toughest biz on earth- my thoughts are- That there is a sameness to the certain vibe running through Christian music. When you want some sugar in your coffee , and it is JUST A TINY OVER, you spit it out. Or you say, I am going to limit it to one teaspoon period. With your talent any door of muisic is open to you. It is better to be first in a trend then the last- well, good r and b ROCK, got confused with Metal/hair, yet then nasty grunge came in and destroyed what has always worked,

I love the song, but not to thrilled about the drummer wearing the same uniform I shed blood, sweat, and tears to earn. I don't like it when people wear uniforms as fashion. To me, and soooo many other service members, that is a sign of disrespect. I'm sure he didn't intend for it to be that way.

As a United States Marine, it is massively upsetting to see the drummer in a Dress Blue coat. Regardless of whether or not he was in the Corps, to wear that jacket in that fashion is terribly disrespectful. While it is legal, for those of us who have earned that uniform and who work and live daily as part of the Corps, there are few things that are less infuriating. That coat is a proud heritage of one of the premier fighting forces on the planet, not some 'swag' to 'rock' in a music video.
