Is the Cambridge 50 newer and better than this? I like this amp but I don't want to end up buying an older model. What's the difference between the VT and the Cambridge?
Can you use the USB port to record directly to a audio recording software like Cakewalk, or Audacity? It's an important question, because I plan on buying one within the next couple weeks, and it would be great to know if I need some kind of adapter, or if I can do that straight out of the box. It would be best to get everything I need at once. I believe that would be incredibly helpful in this C-19 lockdown we are facing.
Hi, The USB port on Vox Valvetronix amps is only used for transmitting/receiving MIDI data so you can edit and store your patches, presets, etc...it does not send digital audio. You would need a USB audio interface to record the line output of the amp into a DAW. Thanks for watching! -Dave
If it's anything like the original Valvetronix, then yes. I had the 1x10 model, and it was blowing away my friend's 2x12 line6 For the lower volumes, it's just a matter of finding a balance between the master volume and the gain. The tone would stay pretty much the same until I got it down to below the 1 mark.
I need help Read Please i don't know did u record with vt+ or not. but with vt+ u can get the sound of Cry for you (andy timmons) exactly. but with VTX when u turn the gain up from 9 o'clock to right, the sound lose the distortion. i don't know why and i don't know how to fix the problem. anyone here experience this???
I've never experienced that. I did have an issue on my old metal grill valvetronix where the main volume would go out if I turned it up to a certain point. Turned out that the electronics under the dial had dirt in it. I fixed it with an air compressor. Just sprayed everything with air.
Great demo. Will changing the speaker or tube throw off the amps factory modeling setups for other amps? Common sense seems to say ‘yes’, but I gotta ask anyway. Cheers.
Depends on what kind of speaker you replace it with. I mean, if you replaced the speaker with a sub woofer it's gonna change it a bit lol. As far as the tube goes, the only thing that should fit in the slot is the 12AX7 that comes with it. If you can find other tubes that fit it, I would be incredibly interested in finding what happens.
Can someone please explain how to make my own presets? I noticed that when i adjust volume knob, it falls down. Also, to my bank already writed presets, i need to a la overwrite them? Intresting combo-amp, but i'm not sure how to use it, except foolish "amp type" changing)
