🥴 maintaining a connection with a object billions of miles away No problem, we can guarantee connection over 5 months Oh you wanna make a cell phone call in a valley? Good luck, the tower is only 75 miles away. And you're gonna drop that call But again, billions of miles away from a tower? No problem
Don’t the say the don’t make them like the used too, you know the washing machines and stuff like that my grandma have one that is 30 years old and still works fine
I was 43 years old when Voyager 1 was launched. I'm 80 now, and this news actually brings a lump to my throat. Can modern generations ever imagine how WONDERFUL we found all of this? When I was in school, we hadn't even seen the far side of the Moon! And I had SF books confiscated by teachers who declared space travel to be godless fantasy. I don't remember their sad little names - but I still have copies of those Arthur C Clarke, Asimov, Heinlein, Bradbury, etc etc. Now we have Hubble, Webb and the ISS. So - Veeger - carry on talking. But above all, PLEASE deliver your messages. And yes, the Pale Blue Dot remains - for the time being at least - the most wonderful photograph in existence.
@@legacyhahait passed when I was two so of course I didn't get to see it. I will be 78 when it passes again hopefully I will live long enough to see it. One of my life goals along with seeing a total solar eclipse. Really missed my opportunity with this last one traveling 6 hours to the west. Should have just done it.
That's what I thought as well. Maybe a near advance alien species detected voyager 1 and now trying to connect to it and transferring cryptic msgs that we still need to decipher. Both mysterious, amazing and scary if this will be the case
@@caljernes I just realised if have to understand and learn an alien language, the aliens must be physically present here on earth or send a video of themselves, there's no way we can understand their language with just some cryptic messages
its crazy to think that voyager isnt even near the nearest star yet, i always love it when u make new videos and you have inspired me a lot to my study of astronomy later.❤
That Pale Blue Dot is about three minutes from the point the picture was taken at full impulse speed. You wouldn't even want to take your ship to warp 1.
"I'll be the guide. Humanity's dreams. Humanity's hope. I'll deliver them all to the distant starry sky. I'll reach it one day. Pale Blue Dot." -Voyager, Fate Grand Order
Crying watching this video rn I cannot emphasize how much I cried over Voyager not responding over these 5 months, and now it's finally back and feels like my life is good again lmao
That's the best news of the day! And yeah... The blue pale dot is indeed the best photo ever taken... I hope this old buddy will be alright for a long time
NASA to voyager 1: you didn’t had to cuut mee oooof….. Voyager 1: wdym? i just got some cold at -110 fahrenheit in interstellar space.. 5 months aint even that long for me
I find it interesting how Voyager 1 is still functioning all this time. Although it's outside the solar system, it's way too far away from even the nearest star system Alpha Centauri, 5 light years. It's basically in a void of nothing. I mean, Voyager 1 was never traveling at light speed so it's going to take it centuries to get to the next star system. It's interesting how an old piece of technology is still functioning.
