This ship has really changed since we started cruising 25 years ago. She was the berries back in the day, but compared to today Big Sisters ships, pretty dull. We leave for our first Voyager cruise in more than 15 yrs next week. She looks so different after her dry dock, but us older folks she'll do for a quicki. Fortunately, we are B2B with Carnival Jubilee which is brand new so we'll be fine...but this is probably our last Voyager class cruise. Thanks
I’ll be on Voyager in December 2024 for a 5 night to Cozumel and CocoCay. We booked a spacious panoramic ocean view room for my girlfriend and I on deck 12. Even though this review gave me some worry about enjoying the ship, I agree that it does matter who you’re cruising with along with what stops you’re making. I’ll definitely be using the spa and the fitness center. The restaurants/shops on board don’t seem too underpromising though, as we will only have 5 nights total and just 2 at sea. You’re welcome and thanks for watching. We were probably really hard on Voyager, but I believe the bigger issues with the ship are a lack of variety and direction with the remodeled they’ve done. We still had a blast on our cruises even with some of the things we didn’t like and y’all should too. The cruise director does a really good job of making sure theres plenty to do especially on sea days. Do you have anything planned for Cozumel or CocoCay?
Also your room on deck 12 will be pretty new and updated. We were hoping to get one of the Panoramic Suites when we did the suite guarantee booking. Hope y’all have fun!
@@letsgetwanderlost nothing planned yet for my stops! I’ll probably plan an excursion here soon for Cozumel with my travel agent. I’m considering getting the cruise drink package still as well. My dad gave me a good tip with it, that if you order a drink and don’t like it, you have the option to just go back to the bar and get another drink. That takes the anxiety out of feeling the need to drink x amount of drinks to maintain its worth.
@@letsgetwanderlost I got super lucky with the timing of my booking to find that spacious panoramic room! Great price as well. Good to know that it’s relatively updated, I kind of figured that with those upper deck changes from the amplification.
Yea the fact you can just say you don’t like a drink and move on is super appealing. Removed anxiety and you can just try everything. That’s one of the things we love about the dining package. There’s a ton of fun stuff to do on Cozumel. Bound to find something good with your travel agent. We did a jeep tour of the island with some snorkeling. It was a lot of fun.
Just got off this ship…if you need wifi to work reliably in your cabin find another ship. We had to prop open our door nod ship deck 6 to use wifi in the room. This is really I acceptable, I feel all ships should have this capability by now.
We heard the WiFi was spotty to unusable in the rooms on the lower decks, which definitely isn’t good especially with how much the internet is now. We didn’t have many issues with the wifi with our room location. They really are going to need to rethink their WiFi setup if they’re going to continue to charge what they are currently charging.

What would make you rate something a 1, and what would make it a 5? 2. Replace or reconstruct your lighting - the ring lights reflections distract from your message. Smaller ring lights are designed for other type of use. 3. Fix your audio - your mikes are good. Learn how to use them. 4. Fix your framing. Too much negative space. 5. Use some common denominators. Both a three-day Perfect Day cruise and a 7-day Cozumel can potentially cost $1000. What's the cost per night all-in without the optional extras? Was the price lower/higher than on a comparable sailing from other cruise company or another RCL ship? 6. What type of a cruiser would you recommend this ship to? Family, retired, couples? 7. Add timeline to the video. It makes your effort more valuable to RU-vid's algorithms. 8. A thirty second intro is too long these days, I skipped through the second half of it.
My wife and I sailed Jan 22 on Voyager. We missed one port, Costa Maya. So spent a night docked at Cozumel. Coming back to home port. We hit a line of winter storms. Carnival Dream was near to our side. WE listed so bad to starboard I all could see from balcony cabin was water, no sky. We straightened back up, rain pouring down. Water ran into hallways as flooding through the balcony doors. About 20-30 minutes I was near promenade deck. Will tilted to PORT ! The hanging ornaments shaked and rattled. People falling down. The store racks dumped out. Booze bottles and glasses broken. When we straightened back up. I went down to casino for a look. 6 slots have fallen over, and folks injured. I have been on 45-50 cruises,. This was the worst trip. There is more but you get the picture. I cancelled a cruise we already had booked. The ship is too old. Oh back to Carnival Dream. She went right through the squall line. Cruise mapper showed we made a a figure 8. WOW !
@@letsgetwanderlost We did not like that ship. The food, the layout, the instability on the water. Well fool me twice. We did this ship for Halloween cruise. We thought it was unstable during that cruise. Calm seas but rocking all the time.
On it right now & it sucks, food sucks, everything is old, up charge you for everything, buy wifi for 200 a phone for it not to work, drop off locations in Greece suck. I’d give it a 1/10…
