The HK VP70 is more than just a pop culture icon. It's also a 1970s Hi-Point! In all seriousness, the VP70 is a huge step in firearm development history with an interesting story. We were more than happy to pick one up, and are here to show you what this magical space gun can do.

Yeah man I did the wolf spring in mine for trigger. Turned a 20lb pull into a 19lb pull lol. Love the pistol though. always fun at the range.

Practice DA with a real man's HK like the Mk23 long enough and this along with everything else is childsplay ;)

11:38 - sights aren't too bad... until you shoot this in the dark. The issue of a "shadow" front sight between shiny metal blades is it only works if light is shining directly on it, the sorta thing that doesn't happen indoors or at night.

2 models were made, one for civilians and one for police and military. Police, military model came with attachable stock that activate 3 burst and stock its self was also a holster for the gun as well, This is gun is one I want to own for shit and giggles.

Yep, that's the VP70M, which also doesn't have a manual safety, the crossbolt safety was added as an afterthought for the VP70Z, which is the civilian version, like the one featured on this video. So, a manual safety is pretty pointless in a DAO pistol and it only adds more parts than can break or fail. The deal with the VP70 was to be as simplest as possible.

CAR was the technique name. Center Axis Relock or some such nonsense. Probably the first video game to incorporate something like that was the MGS series and Splinter. Also, digging the content.

That's it! I couldn't remember the cool kid name bit I've definitely heard it. I used to love MGS when I was younger. All the slinking around and CQC shooting looked way cooler in the cinematics than when I played lol. Thanks very much 👍

Think it wasn't the first Polymer frame. That would likely be the HK P9. The VP70 was the first Polymer frame STRIKER fired piece.

I thought the P9 has a stamped frame with a polymer trigger guard. The VP70 has the entire frame being made of polymer.

@triplefshooting Shit, my bad. Your correct. The P9 had stamped steel under polymer. The VP70 is in fact the first production polymer framed handgun. The first (non production) was some sort of Makarov abomination. Had a book that showed one. Dont know the designation.

XXX Gun Parts Corporation or a triple K they might have your magazine looking for and probably had a reasonable price I haven't bought any magazines from triplication a long time so they were good quality magazines for the 1911
