Some corrections: 1. The little guys in Jumbotron give you 2 points, not just 1 2. Apparently you can select between team battle and ctf in paintball on the scoreboard 3. I forgot to mention the main difference between the paintball and laser tag grenades. Laser tag grenades do more damage depending on how close to the center you are and don't always kill, while paintball grenades always kill enemies in their range.
have you played Sonic Paintball.. it is really fun.. it is a small field.. but has some fun elements to fly and spring and shoot out of vr tubes and elevators etc. I hope that one gets further defvelopted and the size of it gets inlarged.. i think it would also be a fund game for laser tag.. I am hoped recroom add drones to paintball. and laser tag.. that would be fun.
I have a tip to win in laser tag on the hangar map. The first minute of play on that map is by far the most crucial. So what I would recommend doing is trying your hardest to win the opening firefight. Now how do you do that and how do you predict where the players will first open fire? Well to answer the latter, you can’t. But to answer the former, by closely observing how the bots behave, you can see that they go to the center immediately every game. So you’re not looking to shoot players, you wanna take out the bots. Now obviously that’ll be a bit hard to do with your basic pistol so run to either building on the edges of the map close to the center, and grab a shotgun and just go to town on those bots. This can get you a pretty decent lead in the early game and put the enemy team in a comeback-required position really early.
2:47 that's actually very useful in paintball (no self-friendly-fire), if you point your gun at it, drop the grenade, then immediately shoot your gun, it instantly explodes, and you essentially become a walking land mine
i think we can just agree that both games have different mechanics, guns, things like that and are overall different in general. So with both games being very different in general, I don't know how we can compare them. Both are good in my opinion, though I prefer paintball, it being what I feel most comfortable with.
i like them both for different reasons i think paintball is better for higher level play, whereas laser tag is better for more casual stuff. in paintball you need to calculate the bullets travel and drop much more than in laser tag, and that combined with the 1 shot kill mechanic makes it easy to dominate if you can consistently hit your shots. if you are a good paintball player and you come across a bad one, they have a very little chance of winning that fight due to the difficulty of hitting your shots, plus the fact that they will die very quickly due to being 1 shot. i also like laser tag when i want to chill and have fun. the projectiles do not drop and they travel much faster, making it easier to calculate where your shots will go. this combined with the fact that there is a health system makes it so that it feels like a more fair fight when going against better players, even if you still lose more times than not. overall they're both good, but for different reasons
Personally I find lazer tag more fun than paintball because it feels way more intense than paintball, but I still feel like paintball can get intense too
I watch MavInVR so much and I paused this video for like 45 minutes and thought you were Mav, so when you said you prefered laser tag I was very suprised
Fun and useful fact: if you wanna play Paintball Team Battle you have to go to the scoreboard thingy before the game starts and on the top it should say "Capture the Flag" so just click it to change to Team Battle.
i love laser tag the most just because i’m on mobile and it’s hard for me to play paintball also bc there is so so many good players lol, and my fav map is hangar bc the power weapon and there’s no annoying tiny bots and i always know all the spots for shotgun
Well about the shields one time the game started (the map was drive in) then I picked up a sheild 2 people went to center I was doing same then I blocked the first few shots then I killed one blocked a few more then raised my sheild then shot them( my gun was behind the sheild) lowered the sheild then kept going so I guess shields have helped my a few times
I love the shield and mine combo, when they hit or pick up your shield, they are dead also here are a couple more tips for mine-mains like me: place your first mine in FRONT of the gun, after you shoot, you will shoot the mine which will explode (a better shotgun) with shields place the first one on the outside, the other one on the inside, if they pick it up, a free kill if you want to throw a grenade but you only have mines? place mines on a pistol and you got yourself a good grenade the ink machine/slosher/machine gun/... needs mines on the BACK of the gun, others can't use it those are the ones I can think of now
But why would I, a shotgun main, pick up a shield when the shield is garbage when I tryhard, to be honest, its trash with all loadouts, also, nobody falls for the shield mines.
@@dogsys yes, but then it first need to click on something to activate and then needs to be touched to detonate you skip the first step and skip the second if you shoot the mine mid-air
I feel like if I had to dumb it down Paintball: one shot one kill, so spray all the time Laser: Deal damage per shot, spraying all the time won't always help Laser tag also feels more tactical and take more skill, since you can't just shoot and hope you land a one hit shot like in paint.
(BVR) If you like team battle but don't like capture the flag I just go to lazertag (the paintball choosing section under the score board) *extra sadness*
These are just my opinions on both (kinds sorta similar to the video but kind of not) Paintball is simply superior for experienced recroom players and laser tag is sort of good for beginners. You probably would think that paintball has tons of toxic people but it really doesn’t and when there are some they are usually just making so much of a fool of themselves that it’s funny. If they bother you and others in a serious way however it’s easy to get them votekicked. Laser tag however has the most try harder and toxic people I’ve ever seen. It’s either you get put in a lobby that’s silent and has no try hares or get put in a lobby where a player or people are toxic tryhards that would get mad if you kill them once. Don’t even try to vote kick them because it wouldn’t work lmao, just block and keep playing or leave the server. Since accuracy is something needed for paintball it’s usually suitable for people that either play it a lot and have good aim or people that play a lot of pvp games in general with good aim. Since it’s 1 shot and usually harder with snipers being a beginner player would absolutely not help your case. Never grab a paintball AR. The accuracy is terrible even if you can shoot many shots. And just leave the lobby if there’s a teleporter, OR if you teleport then there’s a paintball game just for teleported called “PaintballVR” it’s also in the recroom originals section if you scroll. Even though the try hards are worse in laser tag it’s mostly the quickest way to get better at shooting especially since there’s a health bar and being able to revive your teammates. I’d personally rather a new player start off facing the bots since those are kind of challenging enough to deal with unless there’s a player attacking you. For both games you can see if your teammate is down by their username. In laser tag, if they talk, they would tell you so you can revive them although you have to search basically . In paintball just worry about if the teammate that died either had the flag of the opposite team ( just look in the sky for the large beam of light from the flag) or if that was a player that was carrying your team. Most like they would be near where the enemies spawn thus you’d now know where they would be coming from since the teammate isn’t suppressing them like before. I know this is long but those are just tips and my thoughts on them, due to the toxity I would usually never play laser tag unless it’s for a weekly. Overall I’m more of a paintball person lol. My fav combo is a sniper and shotgun😂😂it makes so many people mad but I’m never toxic about it nor do it the whole game if someone doesn’t like it🤷🏽♀️ My recroom name is (A$)Aysia
In my opinion laser tag is better. Paint ball is good ya but laser tag is better. Laser tag provides really cool cosmetics and Item skins and paintball provides really bad clothing
Personally I prefer paintball, buuuuuuut... I may be biased as whenever I play rec room laser tag my epilepsy acts up and its the only game that does it so :p
