Well, it finally happened. I really don't know what the big deal was, maybe it was school ramping up this year, maybe it was something else, but whatever it was, having a good robot was a looong time coming. Here's Merry, our third traybot and ninth bot overall this season. Fortunately, I don't think we'll have to try for ten, but you never know.

I’m an 8th grader in VEX, and it’s my first year. Though my team I think is going to do well at our next competition due to my middle school being a good place to start. My older brother is a senior, so he started with Tower Takeover, so it’s really cool to see how bots from 3-4 years ago were built.

I think faster intakes would make this bot really good

I would recommend redesigning the actual intakes, how their mounted is good. It’s clear that once it has so many cubes they start to lose traction. I don’t think you need different sized sprockets of it’s mounted on a hinge. Changing the sprockets and maybe testing different flaps as well as making them a bit faster would improve the robot tremendously. Otherwise it looks pretty good!

maybe try getting 200 rpm motors and faster intakes? With faster intakes your bot would be really fast at stacking. also maybe increase speed of your tilter, and do a linear function for the code. it works really well for us. also a 3rd stage w/ longer linear slide you could get at least 11 cubes.

They didn't end up being super useful for a traybot. We use the reversing function of the rollers a lot to nudge cubes when stacking, so we would lose that function with the ratchets.

It seems like some simple coding could really make this bot shine. Your lift seems extremely slow for a 5:1 torque. Same with the tilter and intakes. I think your motors aren’t on 100% speed. I know worlds is canceled and everything, but still😂
