Exactly what I was looking for, glad it came up with my weird search of "vrchat finger animations" in hopes of finding how to override the tracking. Thanks!
thank you so much, even though i had the exact opposite problem of wanting finger tracking instead of an animation the video helped immensely, i tried for hours without progress and now i feel stupid because it was just a simple checkbox i had to click
Could u do a tutorial for disabling hand animations for pulling out toggled item? I see some 3.0 avatars pull out an item and have their own unique hand pose it freezes on until you toggle the item back off. I found those so cool and i cant seem to find a tutorial on it
since I can't find it anywhere I'm just shooting my shot: if I want to use custom gestures as a tracking option for the index (I.E. flipping the bird) to trigger a certain facial expression is there a way to do it? I've been reading their doc and it's absolutely not helpful as all it has is a chart of what sensors together trigger the default inputs for the gestures, not how I would be able to trigger on custom gestures. would be a shame if I have to override certain gestures just to get what I want and would look weird when I only use it for certain ones
Is there a way to have the lower legs animated (humanoid)? Or even feet. I seen a few avatars that are humonoid have their feet ankled in a specific way.
Thanks for the tutorial! I've noticed this seems to cause any other animations associated with the hand gesture to stop working (for example, I would have my ears go down when I do the fist gesture). Is there a workaround for this?
can something similar be done to achieve disabling facial expressions? albeit i could just disable gestures the manual way but i wanna keep my hands doing their poses :/
If you're on index, disabling gestures still lets you use your fingers. Unless you mean you only want the custom poses for the fingers to work instead of facial anims?
@@Mura. he is talking about the oculus touch controllers, if you just touch your A button or Analog Stick it makes an face expression, he wants to disable that so his Face doesn't Spaz out while just touching the Buttons. (Index users are so lucky they have it easy with the Gesture toggle.)
