Ah yes, I am sat on NP1 Summer Melt and NP4 Bunny Artoria, I know this feeling well. And I got NP3 Vritra without going too deep so I believe for some reason my luck is just flipped upside down.
The main problem with her is, well, her class. There's a plethora of good AoE Arts Lancers, and some are even better than her. The thing she desperately needs is an NP buff that amps up her damage so she can actually show off that big ATK stat (and maybe add some nice buffs/debuffs)
Yeah as he mentioned with ryoma and fairy Lancelot coming up while we already have summer metrylis, there's just to much good competition to go around in the lancer pool. Add on that busters going to become the next big meta (surprisingly being more reliable in looping than arts but also being way more restrictive on who can actually loop) she's sadly playing in a overcrowded niche.
Hell, there’s just a lot of looping Lancers period. Ryoma, Mary Anning, Lambdaryllis, Fionn, Parvati, Valkyries, and those are just the AoE ones. If she were a Saber or Archer there would be no debate in rolling for her.
@@lord_boneman actually, in the case of Sabers, I'm not sure about that either. Especially with the foresight of the literal next Servant to be introduced, lol. Even ignoring Muramasa, we have Artoria, Ibuki, and eventually we'll have Okita Alter and Charlemagne
@@harrya9458 True, but 2 out of those require servants not on NA servers yet and 3 of those examples are limited. At least with lancers only Ryoma and Lambdaryllis are limited.

Honestly, even though I knew she was outshined by others. She's still solid in her own right. Not to mention, she has one of the best characters designs period. She was on my radar since I first saw her. Went to NP5 and maxed skills, no regrets.
I was planning to use a few tickets to get one or two ce's from the event and possibly extra copies for Martha Summer but ofc it didn't happen. But hey, since Vritra showed up on the fourth ticket I won't complain.
very happy I got her on JP when she came out, helps a lot with the temptation to roll for her on NA, cos while she's not my most effective option, she is definitely hitting the effective tags
yea lancers are such a "full" class already, there has to be some outstanding potential in additions to even be noticeable. Plenty of AoE arts loopers, great anti divine with Shishou for bossfights, and ofc Melusine sweeps the competition
I don't have any of the main best AOE ART LANCERS, as AOE Lancer I use Artoria Lancer Alter(She deserve an animation update), however while try to get the CE's for the event I manage to pull Vritra with only 10 tickets so I'm happy to spend with her and have her since it has make my grind on the event easier.
I'm glad I got Vritra, Lancer and Assassin are my two worst classes (for reference, I have Medusa Lancer, Qin Lianyu, and Assassin of Shinjuku.) Finally getting a good AOE lancer was a godsend. I do have Artoria Lancer Alter, but it's so hard to get her guage up for the second NP
I wound up with something like six copies of summer Melt while I was chasing Artoria in the original run of the event, and then I grailed her up to 90 on the spot because I heard she was so reliable. Vaguely curious about what threshold of NP level another arts lancer would have to meet in order to surpass that, but I guess I'm pretty well set either way.
Melt is a 5 star in a 4 star body. Up to 60% charge that comes woth atk buff, loopable arts buff, lower cost, and while her skill 2 is... There. Her np gain and overall skills more than make up for it.

Vritra has higher damage than Melt and Fionn. Melt already barely beats Fionn in damage on wave 3. And even on wave 3 Melt does less damage than Vritra with just dcs and her arts up because of Stat difference.
@@gibbygibbstein7858 unless you want to lose the 10% Charge the S3 gives then no. And no higher Atk don't guarantee higher Damage. Enkidu is sitting as the worst Atk Stats owners of the SSR Lancer, lower than Eresh, yet his Damage is higher than both Scathach and Bryn who has Higher Atk than him
@Ihsan Andi Nugroho she does though. Vritra with dcs and her arts up deals 93.3k damage per target where as melt on wave 3 deals 93.2k with her 50% attack up. Vritra has a larger scaling arts buff as well as a 3k Stat advantage over Melt with 1k fous and no ces, even if you use her np strength up wave 1 for the regen she still has anti divinity which is a pretty common trait
@@gibbygibbstein7858 Vritra has the same Base Gain and NP Hit counts as Fionn and the only compensating her is the Charge overtime which again tied to her NP Damage And here's the damage with all of them Vritra DCS (130% Arts, 40% Atk =88668) Vritra DCS with S3 (130% Arts, 40% Atk, 20% NP Damage= 106402) Melt DCS (120% Arts, 90% Atk=102453) Fionn DCS (140% Arts, 40% Atk, Upgraded NP: 106264) Fionn and Melt may have their own 1 Turn Buff, but what makes them different is that they have their Refund Tools stuck not with their best damage buff. And lastly, that Divine Bonus won't come to play as often with how not everything has Divine
@Ihsan Andi Nugroho Your damage is screwed if you calculated that your self. Vritra with 1k fous and dcs without supports averages 93.3k damage per target while Melt averages 93.2k. 102k damage for melt is a 10% high roll, while 88k for vritra is a 10% rng low roll. Melt averages 100 less damage than Vritra without Vritras others buffs, stop being biased and inflating your numbers. Use averages. If you're struggling to refund with Vritra you could use something like Paracelsus as a 3rd support and orangette if you have it to make her refund without regen. I'm not going to be bothered to argue this any further since you clearly just plugged the stats into maketekunai (an unreliable calculator) and then picked Vritras lowest possible damage and Melt's highest. I just checked for myself and you did exactly this considering when I went to check on maketekunai I got these exact numbers for your math.
Honestly I would consider rolling for Vritra if only for being a gyaru and another monster girl. But honestly she feels so unnecessary when I already have NP4 Fionn.
Well, I have Fionn np4 and Melt Summer np2 but I won't complain that I also have Vritra np1. At least her chara design appeals to me more than the other two and imho it's more important in a game about collecting waifus and bros. 🤔
Sacrificed two multis for the banner, and she ended up showing up on those multis so I don't feel at all bad about doing it. Even if she is nowhere near as good a looper as my Spishtar is, Vritra at least has the benefit of being something different because honestly, I was getting sick of hearing EDIN SHUGURA QUASAR and seeing the same animation
Multiple times when you were talking, I had visions of Toonami's T.O.M. Which I guess means my brain thinks you sound like Steve Blum. Anyway, I was happy to get Vritra on both my accounts because she made farming the Xmas lotto a lot easier without adding extra bond levels on my Castorias (plus my second account has neither Fionn nor Lambda, and while my primary account does have NP2 Fionn, the Lambda is only NP1 leaving her damage very lacking).

In theory, it should be easy to get a 4 star more times over a 5 star But in actual reality, you end up with people who have more NP5 5 star servants over NP5 4 star servants. I managed to NP5 a gilgamesh during Gilfest while I was in reality, trying to 5 star the CE of that banner instead.
It's funny how in the NA in the Jalter banner I wanted jalter or get some Nyatalanta and ended with a lot of CE and a NP5 Nyatalanta but not a single Jalter and in JP with Melusine Np3 and a lot of CE but 0 4 stars
I have to agree. I was rolling on last year's saber wars 2 banner, got 3 copies of Space Ishtar. Only barely got 1 copy of Calamity Jane, the Servant I was rolling for.
I tried to get taiga in the babylonia banner. A "3 star". I don't even know how I can describe those rolls. I got spooked by 4 gold lancers. 4( Parvati, valk, fionn, Percival). Also 2 berserkers ( lancelot and tamamo cat). I spent 150 sq and 20 tickets and got zero taiga. I wish I was joking. But my new account is cursed. It's spook central. In my 1000 days of playing fgo and out of 4 accounts, this is the only one that got spooked by stheno
Honestly didn’t care about Vritra when I got her from the banner, wasn’t to excited for the event. But then I saw her NP and thought it was so cool. Then I saw her reasons for fighting us and it made me glad I got her. The fact I got another copy while get the final copy for Summer Martha was great. Also really like her facial animations, her tongue licking her sharp teeth is hot.
She showed up while I was fishing for Ruler Martha NP levels and event CEs for easier farming. I have Melt at NP 1 and I haven't bothered with Finn MacCool, so she'll serve just fine for the time being.
I rolled for Vritra because, gameplay value aside, her design as a goth gyaru dragon girl is just absolutely S-tier. Luckily for me (and I don’t mean to flex too hard), I have been blessed to have been able to NP5 Space Ishtar as a GSSR-only player, so basically everything has become trivial to me in terms of gameplay difficulty anyway, and I can imagine even more so for people who actually spend money, so I have the luxury to roll for love and not for labor.

I'm honestly surprised you didn't bring up Percival when mentioning her competition. He's a gen pool AoE Arts Lancer with a supportive lean and he's a *lot* better. Even if his banner comes at the worst fucking time, being right before the knockout combo of KoL and Oberon.
3:58 Is it? I'm legitimately not sure any more with my luck, I tried to get Saint Martha Ruler and got two Vritras before I got a single Martha... I hate the sunk cost fallacy, I already rolled for her and didn't want all that SQ go to waste 😒 Also she's a dragon gal while Meltryllis is toothpick legs, priorities.
Because of the new pity system, getting a 4* is way harder because of the split rate up and no insurance for 4*. The reason why Oberon fuck over Merlin and not Proto Merlin is because she go outside while Merlin lock himself in Garden of Avalon.
I'm happy I have her for waifu reasons (and no money spent), and at least skilled her up. But yeah I won't be using her as much as I use melt, who is np4 compared to the np1. Also melt bigger waifu
Design is a 10 but her gameplay.. Ehh gonna have NP5 Percival next year so I dont need another arts aoe lancer. Also assuming I get multiple copies of FK Lancelot... Yea
Unfortunately she came out right after Ibuki's debut, so not only did I not have Quartz for her, but I'm hoarding them for the next time Ibbie's on rate-up. Although I do have a friendly who was saving for her ever since she started existing in JP, so it was very fun to see her get NP4 and max Grail her almost immediately, then get NP5 off a single a few days later lol
Fino a general question, which ST servent should we look out for in the future if you consider the 90++ nodes of JP, which often has more individual enemies
Pretty much anyone with 50% charge and big damage, 30% charge work if you unlock their append kill but at minimum you need 40% starting charge to work with 60% from DCS. But yeah Kintoki and Melusine are the prime ST servants.
Honestly, from my time using her, her st damage felt lackluster, since all she has for steroid in st version is the 40% attack up. Her aoe version has the other 2 damage buffs. Even the np gain wasn't as good as I expected
She would've been so much better had she come out before lb3, but she's was too late to the party. God help those lostbelts for the new player who starts with her though, gonna be a slaughter lol
I wish they buff bradmante and Vritra. The fact they get overshadowed this hard by a 4 is kinda sad. I am brute forcing bradmante to farm 90+ node and even when she is level 120 she is still less relabile than level 80 lambda. It is kinda sad tbh.
I was so SO tempted to pull for her simply because her design and np I liked but I declined because with Muramasa coming so close to NA I need everything I can grab quartz wise for just a copy of him I really want 2 copies but dude I'll settle for one even. Also no bad feelings towards her really, but the odds of her getting a banner rerun verus the man who is gonna take like another 2 years for a single rerun from what I heard other youtubers and people say? Very sorry but polite and gentle pass also she's, from what I heard a permanent servant so she won't be a limited one like Muramasa. In my defense, I really don't need more lancers or riders who I can barely provide skill upgrades 😭
i roll for martha got her instead and no martha till today. sad man. i have enough lancer sadly. i leveled her up a bit and for farm event only bcs she receive bonus damage. but her mats is killing me so going to be long before i leveled her skills fully. but her np is cool and her extra attack reminds me of kama attack
I do think she's a nice servant and arts lancer. But...yeah I've put a lot into Melt and am perfectly happy with her. I do think Vritra is fine for those that prefer her. But I'll just keep saving for next year and enjoy what I have for now.
I've often wondered why this game is so lop-sided sometimes. Yeah, Muramasa finally beats fucking *Jason* but the fact that Jason is nevertheless #2 for Arts loopers in his class with Vritra being 3rd-5th in line in hers is still bloody well bonkers.
