I just bought my 16 year old son a Vulcan to learn on . I was concerned about the stock headlight not being bright enough to be seen by motorists, Will definitely be getting a hog headlight after watching your AMAZING video , 👍
thats a whole lot more work than the Harley Light, I always take a pic with my phone before I get started (cuz I'm old) ,Helps me remember ... Great Vlog ...PS Thunder Down Under sent me... I subbed ya...CHEERS , Flip and the blue mule
Thanks for the sub. 😁 I pretend I know what I'm talking about but Im just winging it most of the time. I should take a photo too. That's a good idea. I was super jealous with how easy Rob (Throttle Down Under) made his install look! Haha. Great bloke. Thanks again for your comments. 🙂
This is an awesome demo.. I still wish I could just pay you to do this for me.. 😂😂. I just don’t have the patience. Really want to do this to my bike tho!!
I enjoy your videos for two reasons. First, you save me the pain and suffering of installing mods to my '21 KVS650. Second, you're funny as all get out! 🤣 Keep on posting and I'll keep on watchin'.
Got my Vulcan delivered yesterday. Very excited to ride it, though still waiting for my riding gears to arrive. This lockdowns made it so hard and complicated!!
CONGRATS!! Welcome to the Vulcan gang! 🖖 You will seriously love it! Good job waiting for the gear to arrive though. Dress for the slide not the ride. Lockdowns are PAINFUL!
Thanks Martin. I had intended to do the LED bulb swap... ordered it... paid for it... but it returned to sender and they refunded me. So I took that as a sign and went all out on the Hoglight. 😳😁
@@TheVSChick hahahah I am glad you didn't choose the LED light. My LEDs are not doing the job.... I have now ordered the hoglight and supersport indicators waiting for the mechanic to update me. Will keep you posted.
Heya Martin. Unfortunately I don't know much about the resistors. 😕 I sent the guys a message at Hoglight to purchase some LED indicators and begin the whole process... and they said they're currently designing some plug and play ones specifically for the vulcan. Unheard of!! They said they'll send some my way when they're ready. So after that... I kinda stopped researching!! 🤩
Thanks so much!! The light is flipping amazing hey! I've had a few ask about my windshield but unfortunately I don't know much about it. I bought the bike second hand and it was included in the purchase. I've always assumed it was just kawasaki stock... but only guessing. Its outstanding on the highway though. The wind gets pushed straight over my head. The wind doesn't impact my ride at all!! Sorry I can't be more help!
Hello, I bought same as yours, may I advice to put a lens protector on ur lamp coz eventually it give your lens some substantial scratches. Also turn signals are so flimsy, i would recommend to change that too.
Thanks for your advice Kepma. I will definitely look into a lens protector. I'm actually looking for some decent indicators at the moment too. Hopefully they will be my next mod. Enjoy your bike and ride safe!!
@@TheVSChick some clear tint would be nice. U can find it on alibaba or aliexpress tho. Same quality to our local sellers, theyve just rebranded it. Haha Ride safe maam
Awsome! Just question, with low light does it iluminates well at night? (Is only the ring led and the 3 little lines) Or you should go with the high light? (Because it may bother other drivers) Thank u!
I use it the same as I would the high beams in a car. On coming traffic I turn them off because its super super bright. You wouldn't really want to be cruising around with them on all the time. The low light is sufficient. The ring LED is on all the time, the 3 lines are the high beams.
Haha thanks a bunch! Lockdown is tough for heaps of people... but it's not really impacting everyday life in Hervey Bay atm. If I travel further south to the sunny coast or something I need to wear a mask but that's about it. Pretty lucky tbh
Unfortunately no, I haven't heard back from them. A bit disappointing to be honest. I was really looking forward to them as well. I might send them another email.
After watching your video (not only of course), I decided to buy it. The package is on its way. Unfortunately, after the purchase, there was a question of whether this headlight has road approval in the EU. Do you know in which countries this headlight is approved and where to check it?
Congrats on buying the hoglight! You'll be happy with it I'm sure. It's a great light! I'd say your best bet would be to contact hoglight directly and ask them. Here is their contact email address. nathan@hoglights.com.au They are super friendly and will be totally happy to help you out. 😊
The windscreen is one of the few things I didn't actually buy. It was already on the bike when I bought it second hand. BUT! I did a quick google search and found this one that seems very similar to the one I have. bruceshark.com/en-au/products/win-k234-set
I don't trust those types of headlight assembly replacements. I know people like the look of the various LED's, but most of them seem to have poor quality control. I installed a Cyclops H4 Ultra LED in the stock assembly and couldn't be happier. The difference was like night and day
Yeah I was a bit unsure about whether to do the full replacement or upgrade the bulb. I read alot of reviews about the Hoglight though and they are a great quality light. Fingers crossed it holds up to the test of time.
@@TheVSChick I wish you luck. I have seen a number of different "brands" that sell the same exact light. I figure they all buy the parts from the same Chinese factory. OR... some are cheap knock-offs that are made to look alike.
Yeah there are a few knock off versions out there. Hoglight are a decent company based in Australia that provide a 7 year warranty with their products. 😁
OMG! Almost $700 for a headlight? I can’t see spending that much on just a headlight. I’ve seen comparable headlights for $320. For $700 you could add an entire exhaust system to make up for the current angry sewing machine sound, lol.
Lol! Yeah it's defintely on the expensive side. 😬 🤷♀️ I just wanted to get something that was awesome quality and local. If I had to choose between an exhaust or a headlight... exhaust all the way. But thankfully my vulcan already had a delkevic slashcut when I bought it. Woot woot!
@@TheVSChick I’m sorry, I only recently started watching you, and have bought and applied a few upgrades that you did. I wasn’t aware of your exhaust upgrade 😊
@@TheVSChick Yes, I dig it! Been decades since I've been on a bike, and now I can't seem to stop the mods since I bought it just a few weeks ago, lol. The Vulcan is a sweet ride! And it's known to be a Harley killer, lol. Not all, but the majority. And the price compared to a Harley is drastic
Its definitely addictive haha. That's awesome that you're back on the bike. Well done! The vulcan is such a great option. Great cruiser. It's an all rounder I reckon. Big enough to be great on the highway... small enough to cruise around town.
