This video is really helpful since a friend of ours is hosting a series of month long nerf wars, and rocket launchers are very helpful. In these nerf wars, shields are allowed, but the only way to bypass a shield is if you "break" it with a mega dart, or by using rockets, which kill you no matter if it hits your body or the shield. Rockets also "blow up" vehicles, meaning if you shoot a car with a rocket, all players inside of the car are out. This means you can hide in your driveway with a rocket launcher if you know a raid is coming. (Since it's a month long, ongoing war, a group of like 3-9 people could just pull up in your driveway and you gotta grab your nerf guns and lock the doors real quick.) Oh and for those wondering, it's a point based game. Kills give you 100 points, and everyone who got out that day respawns at midnight. Just about everyone in the war is from our school, or a friend of a friend, so we all know each other.
@@yuchenzhu3567 not quite. we all just go about our lives normally, but whenever we encounter someone else in the nerf war like at Walmart or something, we shoot them. you can also form temporary alliances with other players and drive to other players' houses to raid them. We all share our location with each other so that we can find each other. there have been a few raids at my house since me and my 3 brothers are all in the war, meaning 400 points all in one place. me and some other friends have also gone on raids getting other people. it's quite fun, but you do need to have quite a large group of people who all know each other to do it.
Okay, so, hear me out. Modify the modulus stock into a shoulder/arm mounted launcher like the DOOM Slayers gl system/a Predator's plasma caster. Say have it on your shoulder at a specific angle that is optimal for where you'd be engaging, using a duel ratchet joint to adjust it as needed, with a hose running down your arm, and say an air tank with a trigger system or the HAMP system strapped on the under/back side of your forearm in such a way that it could be operated easily and/or quickly. Edit: Mount the hamp system or whatever you use for the propelant on your side so you can reach down like you're going for a mag and just thump it.

True. Since it doesn't seem likely that Nerf is gonna do another air pump launcher like the old Titan, it seems like the best option for a specific niche of primary rocket launchers. Like was said in the video, game modes that give rockets special bonuses would be a good setting for it since you want to make every shot count, and higher performance is more important than higher capacity.
I love using the missile launchers. They are tons of fun. That being said, there are some things about them you may want to know. The fins on the sides of the missiles are very thin and pretty much just glued to the missile itself. This means that they break off very frequently. You have to be very careful when you reload a missile because the barrel is just the right amount of space to fit one missile. I have caught the fins on the outside of the barrel a number of times because I was surrounded and needed to reload fast, or because I wasn’t looking and tried to reload. Also if your play style has more points with different kinds of projectiles than a great way to incorporate missiles into your game is to have large points on body shots. But than a few points if the missile hits the ground next the the opponent, sort of like an actual missile explosion. These are really hard to aim so that makes it a little more fair.
Nerf Crossbow with arms removed was always our RPG. I miss those Arrows yo. There was also a stomp rocket launcher that was modified to fire side ways as a two person unit.
Hey there Coop. I used to watch you all the time back in 2017 (I only owned one blaster I just thought you were really cool). Recently I thought about you for the first time in years and it's rad to see you're still making the same content with the same enthusiasm. Side note- I went through the back catalogue and what the eff happened to Nerf?! Nerf always meant quality and seeing these 2.0 blasters and Ultra it seems like crap. What have they done to N strike elite? Anyway, awesome to see this again blast from the past. See yall in another 5 years
The Fortnite GL stinks... literally. Several batches were brought to stores that had a foul smell inside the box. My favorites are probably the ThunderBlast and Fortnite RL.
It's crazy how coop's keyboard has been broken for so long yet he soldiers on. His caps lock is clearly on, yet instead of turning it off he just reduces the font size of non capitalised letters to compensate. What a cooper... I mean trooper
The performance numbers make some sense, but some are wierd. The hulk one probably has very little distance between the plunger and the rocket, which is why it is so powerful. The tri strike has the air tube which makes it less efficient. I speculate attaching it to another blaster and straightening the tube would lead to better performance. The multi shot grenade launcher suffers from air loss at the cylinder as coop suggests. A nagant revolver style system to minimise air loss would be perfect for the system, as you already have tonnes of room to work with and a big handle which would already be designed to be used with a lot of force. The demolisher seems wierd to me. I expected it to be at a higher level. The problem probably lies in the fact that when you pump it, you are moving air back and the tube inside has to do a 180 turn. But it seems like the standalone elite launcher would be the same. Can anyone tell me what going on there? The rpg just seems like it combines the baroness of the hulk one with the size of the elite standalone one. I will now attempt to design the perfect launchers. I will make 5 designs: a standalone single shot, 2 standalone multi shots and 2 integrated into another blaster (probably a flywheeler). There are a few general principles I will try to follow: I will try to minimise air waste by placing the plunger right next to the rocket. I will make sure you are pushing and pulling straight forward and backward. This is to minimise torque, thus increasing efficiency and reducing stress on the blaster during use. I will also envision the designs with large foregrips, stocks and such, so you can run the thing hard. The standalone one shooter should be constructed like the rpg blaster, as a cylinder with 2 parts that you pull together to launch. The vertical grips and the free space on the 2 halves of the tube should be spacious and good for gripping and probably identical, thus reducing torque. They should also be placed in a way that does not make a person stretch too much at the maximum pull or gets the hands too close at the end of the push. You can even maybe make another version with the stock. The stock should be a thumbhole to make sure the torque does not ruin it overtime and can contain rocket storage. The way nerf did it with the demolisher and that other elite one seems like a good way to store rockets. The six shooter is going to be wierd. That thing will probably have construction similar to our single shot design, with the same grips and I would give this one the stock 100%, because at that point the launcher is already going to be big and the person using it will already be dedicated to it. The extra force would also come in handy as we are now putting more effort to rotate the cylinders and possibly defeat more air loss. I would also open up the cylinder as much as possible to enable faster loading. And the nagant revolver mechanism that I mentioned. I managed to come up with 2 ways of making sure the cylinder does not get in the way of pumping. One is to move it in front of the blaster, so now it is away from where your arms move. This will have the downside of making the mass you move back and forth will be bigger, bad for efficiency. It also might increasse the distance air has to travel. An alternative would be to offset the drum into the side of your dominant hand. This would free up the space on your non dominant side and thus allow your non dominant arm to do whatever. This has 2 problems: it would make reloading and checking for ammo wielder and possibly hurt the ambidexterity of the blaster (unless you release 2 variants or allow the blaster to be switched into either way. Come to think of it, the second option could also allow for a centered position). The integration is harder than it seems. The tri strike had a good idea of using the stock, but it is hard to go with that without the big tube reducing efficiency. The only design I could come up with is putting the launcher above the rear grip offset from the blaster. You could either use the dominant hand side to make sure the launcher is out of the way when using the gun normally or either to the non dominant hand side / top for better loading speed and easy checking of weather or not you have a rocket loaded. The offset nature means the air does not travel straight forward, so less efficiency and thus lower performance. One cool idea I have is to make the stock lockable in a few of the positions, maybe 3 or 4. This would eliminate the problem of the stock possibly flopping around when the launcher is not in use and would give you an adjustable stock. You could either have a design with a button you press every time you grab the rear end of the stock or you can have a switch system, possible like a cross safery, allowing you to unlock the stock and then push into it with your shoulder instead of pushing the stock with your non dominant hand. Edit: I realised that this one actually works best as a springer. The inline stock is conveniently perfect for priming against and for using the hump with the shoulder your off hand goes best on a strong vertical grip inline with the rear grip and stock, a perfect grip for priming. The other one, with the underside being utilised by the launcher and the possibility of a high bore axis would be best left as a flywheeler. This arrangement ironically mirrors the tri strike and the demolisher and if someone made all of these would make the line more diverse, with each of the hybrid blasters having very different overall designs. Alternatively there is an undermounted version. This one might require a lot of the under side of the blaster, which might necessitate a design without the magwell on the bottom (side or even top mounted mags, small cylinder, hopper are all ways to get around this) I think the best way you can do this is to make the rocket housing your forward handle and the part that moves, which makes this blaster have a similar construction to our standalone design. Thus the shroud will probably be textured and sized for good grip. A vertical grip would stick down too much and to minimise torque an equally weirdly placed rear grip would be required. Speaking of which, to ensure minimal torque, if the launcher sticks down too much, I suggest putting an alternate grip in the stock, somewhere on the underside of the blaster or maybe even using the mag itself as a grip. Alternatively, you can give the conventional part of the blaster a bigger bore axis to make room for the launcher.
You should update the shotgun showdown with the trilogy, the judge, the twin strike, and the moto blitz (just the shotgun portion) or uploaded the heavy weapons category with the Prometheus, the infinus, and any other heavy duty nerf blasters. Also you should consider the sniper showdown with the long strike, the centurion, the fortnite heavy sr, etc. Stay tacticool.
U can make a missle launcher with the nexus pro. just get a pvc pipe that fits the missle and wrap tape around the pipe until it fits into the slot in the front. you may have to attach tape to the front to make the missle air tight though
kinda wish some third party would make an adjustable stick adapter so you could attach it to the back of a blaster and attach a stick into it allowing you to expand and contract a telescoping tube to change the length of kinda shorter stocks
I want more bladder/pump based launchers. The Buzz Bee Blastzooka was an absolute SOLID GOLD choice. If you were smart you realized YOU COULD STICK REGULAR DARTS IN THE TUBE and it would hurl them at unholy speeds... sometimes popping the heads off completely if you were too greedy. Gorgeous missile launcher. Super compact. I would stab someone to get a new one to replace my sadly aging one... please, Buzz Bee... make more. Please. I beg you. If I ever find a stock of them I will buy ALL OF THEM and store them carefully. I dont want to build my own. That sounds like effort.
I like these comparison videos. Please do more of those. Maybe a Rival expanded, where you include non-Nerf Rival blasters, for instance Xshot Meteor or Dart Zone Quantum. Btw, please bring back stereotypes. :-)
