Red Dress is a great song and I think Amelle does it well. She’s just no Mutya. She was trying to recreate the magic that was clearly lost with the departure. Mutya’s voice is incredibly effortless, where as I feel Amelle has to give 110% to achieve 50% of what Mutya was giving. Props to Amelle tho, she was the only one to score a solo (ish) number 1 single! I’m glad they’re celebrating the song on their recent tour!

I love your love for Heidi!!! I do love her, too. Sugababes 3.0 were quite good, IMHO. The second best lineup for me. Should check out "About You Now," which is arguably one of their biggest hits!

Loooooool listen. I know this is a vs. between Mutya and Amelle, but Heidi is the main on the song tbh. It's really her jam more than any of the other members. Her vocals and delivery fits like a glove and puts some sprinkles on top. But that is her gift IMO when it comes to what she offers as a singer in 2.0 and 3.0. Mutya's wins for me simply because even half-assed the girl gets it done somehow lol. The mix is much better as well so really Amelle didn't stand a chance. I am looking forward to your reactions for 3.0's albums though; a lot of that material is better suited for Amelle to really introduce herself properly.

As much as I loved Hedi in the sugababes line up,and Keisha is the foundation of the line ups she was in,sugababes are nothing without mutya..her ich soulful voice flawless..I keep telling folks to look at her singing mirrors her live performance with George Michael is the best..the comments in this reply are right mutya wins hands down..I love your reactions werda..smelled carnt sing Heidi bit better, but crap live. Mutya brilliant though age as deepened her voice..the bollocks the nasties say about her life style is wrong..she is top dollar for me..her and Keisha would have been a brilliant duo if shiv had not come back..my heart is made up,just watched em on good morning Britain..they are gonna be big again I hope with all my heart. Amelle's version was remixed and Kiesha also re-recorded her verses, that's why it sounds funkier and more lively than Mutya's version - it was never supposed to be a single had Mutya stayed.

Each lineup was good in their own right but there’s a magic between Mutya Keisha and Siobhan. Saying that Heidi was there for all the hits and come up of the band to stardom and Amelle for the second half of their time at the top.

This is the only re record I can tolerate Mutya's replacement on but I prefer the Mutya mix overall. Her replacement was never the vibe, not the right fit, awful live singer as well.

Follow me home is next. It only charged at number 32 in the uk charts. Lot is beef went down with this track as Mutya wrote it for her then baby daughter, but in the video with Amelle they set it as like a young sex worker with an older man and Mutya did not like that ! Lol and that’s the tea ☕️

Chileeeee where do I even start?! This is the only song I prefer Amelle’s vocals over Mutya’s and the only song other than “Hole In The Head” that Amelle sounds good on from the OG/2.0 discography. All the 3.0/4.0 songs I actually think Amelle sounds absolutely fine on! RU-vid removed the 4k HD version :( However, Mutya after 15+ years has finally performed this live with the og lineup and it sounds amazing!!! Next is Follow Me Home, everyones already told you the tea but here’s a live version of 3.0 and no shade but one of the only times heidi’s vocals aren’t a mess - probably because the harmonies sound great bc Keisha’s singing in the higher key when 90% of the time it’s Heidi m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kM0x0TI_Ce8.html Please do “Gotta Be You” (Another VS Mutya v Amelle) as this is an album track but would’ve been a single instead of Red Dress if Mutya had stayed - it’s VERY R&B!!

I actually really liked Amelle and her voice. I think it’s hard to compare her to Mutya as their voices are so different and Mutya fit Sugababes sound much better. I kinda wish Amelle would of been launched as a solo artist. Also I always hated this song but the live 2022 is pure fire. You have to check it out!!

Amelle by far. 1 of the FEW songs I prefer her vocals over when she sung Mutya parts. I prefer the instrumental on Amelle’s version as well because it’s got more attitude and amelle vocals delivered the vocals to match. Keisha and Mutya also don’t like this song 😅

I never warmed to Amelle. She never quite fit for me. She always came across as too try hard & unlikeable. I prefer Mutya's Red Dress although the Amelle one is okay. You are now venturing into 3.0 Sugababes when they became bland & generic with matching outfits & often really off key live vocals. Amelle left a lot to be desired live she certainly was no Mutya especially doing her parts. She was better on songs done with her live but even then not the greatest of live singers. Not hating just my own opinion. Enjoy x.
