I have my surgery 8/20! I started tearing up when you said you are so proud of yourself for not feeling like you need to cover your body up anymore. I can’t wait to be where you are in a few months.
Congratulations!!! I'm so happy for you! Thank you for being so open and honest about this journey. I told my Surgeon about you and I said how you are open and honest about this journey. She was very appreciative that someone had the courage to be honest and not sugar coat the process! You are truly an inspiration to me. I, myself, am still going thru tests and the counseling, so I don't have my surgical date yet. I was told to expect around October. Thank you again for sharing yourself. I look forward to following your journey as I start mine.
The whole hair loss topic was spot on for me. My hair is thick also and I’m experiencing thinning around my front edges . Currently 4mo post op and praying this thinning slows/stops soon. Congratulations on your journey.
Hi Karen, I stumbled on your channel a few months ago then followed you on all social media platforms. My surgery date is August 29 and I am beyond excited. Thanks for being so transparent with your process. I’ve watched several videos but always come back to yours because of the transparency. You’re absolutely beautiful and amazing and thanks for sharing your journey making it easier for me to also go through the journey. You’re appreciated
Congrats! I love your channel ana IG! Thanks for sharing in such an easy and entertaining way! I am almost 3 months post op and down 37lbs…. You make me excited about what’s to come! VSG babe for life!
I just had my surgery Tuesday and man... I'm still trying to pass the co2 gas. But it's definitely getting easier and easier everyday...I did step on the scale just to see if anything changed and I lost 7lbs in 4 days so that's kewl. I never been one to get on the scale. I've always said the scale is the devil😂. I do notice that I want to get up and do things but I'm still restricted. But in due time...
Congrats!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 I am SO happy for you!! 🤗🤗🤗 I'm almost 2 months postop and down 38 lbs 💃🏽 hopefully I'll join you in onederland in the next few months 🙏🏽❤️
Congratulations! Thanks for all your advice and support. It is so nice to hear that you also have the same struggles, but are overcoming them. I am 2 months post op, and loving following your journey. Just wanted to tell you how much you have helped me!
Omg i'm also 5 months in! Lost 61 pounds! I have to start working out though! Im losing too many muscles! CONGRATS girl you are glowing beautiful to see :D
Same here. I had my surgery 2/23 and lost 70lbs . I haven’t worked out because I’ve been so weak, I know I do need to get on it because I have no muscle at all.
It’s amazing listening to you mention how you welcome going out and about now that you look and feel better in your clothes because I can remember feeling like that before I gained 80 lbs. I have also stopped accepting invitations to be among my friends because I don’t want them to see me looking like this. Congratulations on reaching your first goal! Keep up the great work, you look awesome. 👏🏾
I had my surgery march 25,2022. The freezing thing …. Yes that’s me!! Everyone is looking at me like I’m crazy!!! Lol. I do have more energy. The whole gurgling and burping I still have. Congrats on your weight loss you look great! I go for my 5 month post op tomorrow.
Hi I was sleeved 3/11 so we’re around the same time! Chile at 5 months I started freezing toooooo. It’s not as bad now because I’m used to it, but my blood test were mostly good. So idk why we’re cold? Less blubber? Andddd you sound just like me with the clothes. I did the same thing 😂😂😂😂 I’m literally donating all my business clothes and restocking my closet with new things. From a 5xl to a Medium! Also congratulations!!! My goal is 180. I’m at 205 as of today. My first goal was to beat the 220 lb that I was projected at a year, I did that in 5 months! So I’m almost to my goal weight! Our journeys seem to mirror each other! I feel like we’re friends. Subscribing :)
Yay👏🏼👏🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 congratulations on hitting onederland!!! I can’t wait till I hit my weight goals. Your videos are so inspiring and the idea of you becoming a full time RU-vidr sounds awesome 🤩 Go for it!!
I am 8 months post surgery and I am always cold too. I always was hot when I was obese. I do have anemia and I take an iron supplement. I was taking B12 post op but now I'm really over the normal levels.
Congratulations, on Your Weightloss & New Life! So Happy for You! I have anemia and I stayed cold & my skin turned literally Gray due to the anemia, but, that’s one the side affects “Being Cold” however, unfortunately, seem as you have it at a chronic level & that’s due to the sleeve. What I take is prenatal vitamins which have more iron & 2-3 65mg iron pills Nature Made or Spring Valley brand with 5,000 mcg of liquid B12 Spring Valley Brand Daily. I’ve learned that I can’t skip a day. I use a stool softener every few days to help with the BM flow. I’m now more healthier & my color has returned & I’m no longer freezing 😅. I hope that helps for you if you choose to go this route. Be careful because low iron or too much iron can be detrimental! Praying for You!❤
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I’m wanting to get the surgery done but even with insurance my finances are not where they need to be plus having to get off work all of the time for appointments. I’m hoping everything comes together soon! Congratulations again! That’s amazing!!!
Do what alot of other people do (including myself).... save up your coins and go to Turkey! They have the best Bariatric surgeons... flight + surgery runs around 5,000$ versus in the States, I was going to have pay $11,000 and up, and that's WITH insurance! Best of luck!
I just had the battery of blood tests and mine were just as good as they were before the surgery. However, I have always been borderline anemic, but I take MegaFood blood builder tablets and that helps out a lot. In regards to working out and strength training check Juice & Toya's RU-vid channel, they have some amazing dumbbell, kettlebell, etc workouts for all levels. I'm about 4.5 months post-op and 55 lbs down. I love your channel, keep it up, girl! We got this!
I’m so excited to see your success at the time of this post. Im new to your page and the first video I watched of yours, in Sept, was the start of your VSG journey. I am watching your newer videos as well but still want to watch all the previous ones. I’ll be having Gastric Bypass on 1/3/23 and I’m so happy to start my journey. Your channel has been super helpful 😊… you are looking good girl! 26:14
Hi Karen. I love your channel. I am in the process of getting qualified for. vsg surgery. I’m actually doing my sleep study and next week I. Have my endoscopy. I appreciate your transparency in sharing your journey. Thank you.
@@karensandiego thank you, I thought about documenting mine also on RU-vid. Just not sure 🤔, you seemed to get through the first few weeks with zero issues. Scared I am going have all the issues lol

Congrats to you, my surgery was last Tuesday ,I've already lost 23lbs actually I feel like I haven't had surgery, but whoever said this journey was the easy way out....lied lol,but I'm following you know because I'm my own support, so keep up and stay focus
you are doing amazing! I have my surgery sept 7th! and i’m so excited, thinking of starting a youtube channel as well! i’m an introvert too! haha, what camera did you start with?! 💕
I was cleared to work out after a month . I didn’t ask about the waist trainer but I would probably wait until like 3 months to wear it just to make sure everything is 1000% healed . But definitely ask your doctor first 💕
Cardio is great for blood flow & keeping your body primed FOR the resistance training workouts!! Reach out if you need any help w/ planning your workouts!! I"m here!! :)
Don’t worry about the string bean it won’t impact you (although I can definitely understand the feeling ) . Just try to stay focused and remember that the liquid diet is just to help your surgery go smoothly 💕 good luck ✨
Get some of your super favorite pieces tailored! Some may not work to be tailored but it’s not that expensive 😊 that’s what I plan to do! Lol I’m already thinking about it and haven’t even lost the weight yet 🤣 but there are some pieces I just love I know I will want to 💕
@@karensandiego aww I get it ! But it’s a good problem to have, congrats on your weight loss you are stunning and a motivation to me!! Def considering vsg myself, just a little scared to pull trigger, still praying and hoping it’s my path too! 🙏🏻
I love the kids ones , they sell it at Walmart and they are half the size of the regular ones . I get the birthday cake ones or the chocolate . When I buy the regular sized I always get chocolate peanut butter 💕
Try keeping healthy snacks around so you have something to much on that won’t do any harm ! Or even fruit , if I eat like 3 grapes when I’m just feeling like eating I’ll be full 💕
