In this video I discuss my experience with incision pain after VSG surgery. I didn't find a lot of videos about this when I was curious so I wanted to put this out there.
I was thinking I was just being a baby… people kept telling me the gas pain was the worst but I’ve been finding my largest incision is the worst due to gravity and stretching
Sis, thanks for this video. My incision pain is very painful. I’m 6 day post op 5/27. All incisions hurt like a mf . I have to hold my tummy when I walk.
@@meganlewallen8121 thanks Megan! My incisions still hurt they have heal externally, but when I bend ,twist or contract my abs I feel it . I also scare badly, I can feel the scars tissue under my skin. I’ve started tugging at them to break it down , because it feels like lumps . My belly itches a lot.

Aw are ur babies twins?! Im a twin! Idk how u handle it lol. My kids are 15 months apart and that was hard enough. It kills me when i cant pick my kids up so i know thatll be difficult for me. Thank u for showing and describing ur incisions. Im nervous about that. Have u noticed GERD at all while sleeping on ur back? U look like ur doing great! Im so glad i found u so soon after surgery. I usually find ppl a few years out instead.
They aren’t! I guess you could call them artificial twins. They are the same age but one is my daughter and the other is a foster. :) We love her as our own though! It is so hard not picking them up, but we are managing. Haven’t noticed anything from sleeping on my back so far. Never hd GERD so not sure what to look for though, lol. I’m glad you found me too! @@meganlewallen8121 oh how sweet for ur daughters to grow up the same age tho! Gerd would just be like acid reflux and heartburn. I heard vsg can cause that so it's just something I'm curious about. I didnt know if ill need to sleep in a recliner to keep myself upright or not to prevent that so im glad to hear ur not experiencing it
Not experiencing it so far! Though I got my last bit of protein shake in late last night and my tummy wasn't completely settled last night as I was trying to fall asleep so that was a bit annoying. I finally drifted off though.
@@meganlewallen8121 eeek well i hope u can get to know ur tummy quickly and u continue to have no complications. My dr. Office called and said the surgeon is out for a week but they put me back on the books for july 27th if he doesnt have any openings before then..sucks to have to wait again but i can't wait to experience what u are right now. Remember it's a huge blessing and stay positive!
