Springer Custom Works parts are very high quality. Imagine you're a kid and you get your hands on Hustler magazine. It's airsoft porn when you open the box to look at the parts. I have an M24 trigger and on another rifle the piston and the spring guide. Absolutely flawless the way they perform so far.

Hi mate, the diameter is for the spring guide, the larger diameter one is for the larger springs (springs such as the big Pdi ones, iirc 13mm). Most springs on the market are the smaller size ones but the pdi “fat” springs are very highly regarded. Good luck with the build mate! ^^

Great video mate! Would you say it is significantly quieter over an AA piston? My vsr is upgraded with all AA parts including the trigger&piston kit you mentioned. It shoots great but boy is it loud! Good question! To our ears, here's the conclusion on two of my setups: Setup A: Action Army Piston with Action Army Trigger, Action Army Teflon Coated Cylinder, Action Army M130 Spring, Action Army Spring Guide. Setup A is quite loud with each shot sounding like a metallic "CLACK". The sound is quite intrusive the the ears. Setup B: Springer Custom Works Piston with airbrake installed, Springer Custom Works Trigger, Action Army Twisted Cylinder, A ring of silicone bathroom sealant on cylinder head (to act as cushion), Action Army M150 Spring

Hello my friend! The Springer Custom Works trigger is the same width as the Action Army trigger, but there are differences in shape. Main differences include: 1) Front section of the trigger housing is much lower on S.C.W unit. 2) The body of the S.C.W. trigger is lower around the trigger area. Despite these differences, the width is the same on both units. Have a great day! ^^

@AirsoftAfterHours
@AirsoftAfterHours 4 года назад
Jmert 005 This is just a guess and its absolutely not tried or tested, but cutting down the spring a little “MAY” make it work. Of course if it doesn’t work the spring will be ruined as the FPS will be reduced. Your best bet is to return the spring for a refund if that is possible. Sorry for the bad news my friend.
@jmert0057
@jmert0057 4 года назад
AirsoftAfterHours I sent a message to the owner of SCW and he said that it may be because the spring guide is too thin and it moves around so I would have to put some kind of a metal tube or something over the spring guide. Does this sound accurate to you?
@AirsoftAfterHours
@AirsoftAfterHours 4 года назад
@@jmert0057 It's possible. Our spring did seem to "snake" left and right as it compressed in our setup which may benefit from a wider spring guide. If that is the problem then its a very simple fix! Only one way to find out ^^

My VSR 10 build it feels like the cylinder needs a tiny push to engage with the hop up unit when I'm cocking the gun, is this normal? AA teflon cylinder and AA hop up unit.
@AirsoftAfterHours
@AirsoftAfterHours 2 года назад
The two plastic nubs on the the hop unit (either see through or black) need adjusting, the two screws on the hop unit can be adjusted so the nozzle inserts and engages smoother. If the two BB stoppers protrude too much they will block nozzle entry and sustain damage.
@Greendore

@Greendore
@Greendore 2 года назад
@@AirsoftAfterHours With the BB stopper screws they are as loose as they can be before stopping the chamber fit into the outer barrel.
@AirsoftAfterHours
@AirsoftAfterHours 2 года назад
@@Greendore It's possible that the front of the cylinder head is sharp or has a micro lip, one thing I do with all my cylinder heads is sand with 3000 grit (and above) sand paper to make them buttery smooth. Inspect the BB stoppers for damage, do they look like they have rat bites on them or micro dents? this is an indicator of how the nozzle of the cylinder head interacts with them. Another couplet of nozzle catching on the BB stopper is play, if the cylinder has excess play in the rings, they will sometimes impact the BB stoppers at an awkward angle.
@AirsoftAfterHours
@AirsoftAfterHours 2 года назад
@@Greendore If you have to push the nozzle just a tiny bit harder to engage the BB stoppers, this is normal. If you have to really fight to engage, there is a problem. a little bit more effort to engage is completely normal. ^^

creamy_ sense Not very well, I’ve tried a 45 degree piston on a 90 degree piston (the opposite to what you are asking) and it worked but it’s not ideal, it catches and fires but it might be quite dangerous as it’s putting huge strain on the parts due to incorrect engagement angle.

The setup included: Action Army Teflon Coated Cylinder Action Army 90 degree piston (Blue version) SCW S-Trigger v9.1 Action Army Receiver SCW Spring Guide Action Army M150 Spring The piston catches and releases perfectly on our setup, I will say though, the seal and compression on the Action Army piston is hit or miss sometimes. Just before installing it, the main O'ring will function better if stretched VERY CAREFULLY and lubed liberally, it is also quite noisy when it contacts the cylinder head. The Springer Custom Works piston however is very very quiet and forms a near perfect seal every time without effort. But don't worry, the AA Blue piston will work as it should if that is what you've set your sights on, pun intended. Thanks for being patient and have loads of fun with the build! ^^
