Learn how to replace your front lower control arms and install new SuperPro polyurethane Caster bushes. As I show you how on my 1998 VT Calais, This also works for Vx, Vy and Vz the only difference is that for Vx, Vy, Vz And Series 2 Vt Commodores is that for the ball joint, there is a nut on the top, as for the series 1 vt it is clamped in like in the video.

I think Castor bushes were the first mod/upgrade I ever did on my VX Calais way back in 2005/6. Used the Nolathane ones and they have lasted this whole time. Probably needs a regrease. Turning the steering releases tension on castor rod when trying to install them. Using a jack to tighten up or loosen the big nuts helped if I recall. I believe I had a $15 dollar Repco socket set back then and an old style el cheapo beam style torque wrench. Now with my whizbang tools it would probably take just as long 😁I remember the Nolathane kit gave recommendations for the caster. I know I set it to something but cant remember and not sure how it affected me 300,000k's later....
