Great jets! The pilots flew these like fighter jets. Love to watch them come and go. Also loved the Bukeyes, Goshawks, dragonflies and Talons. Love trainers.
I took a flight on one of these out of Aviano AB, they were testing the ILS so I asked if I could tag along, they said sure come on! The plane wouldn't pressurize so they would only climb to about 11500 or 12000 and then start descending to fly the approach, we flew around for at least an hour, what a great time that was! I loved that place🥰
The older guys in the tan flight suits were contract pilots. They'd be at the controls, a student NFO would be in the right seat, and an instructor NFO in the jump seat.
