Behind the primer bulb is a tiny rubber o-ring, a ball bearing then a spring. If you stretch the spring *slightly* it will fix sluggish priming. Parts are small and spring loaded so work over a container.
Ice engine change, unsure why Tecumseh was leaking oil, I like the Tecumseh engine especially 55 (5.5HP, they are good in oiling and fuel economy. Where was the oil coming from? Just for the less experience that our learning please let them know you put oil in the engine before testing, some may forget...😊 Question to ask for your opinion with air filter replacement oiling filter lightly to catch small partials or dry instal? Was there a specific reason you didn’t put back the original 4 blade disc and blades. Great job though, I need a better updated meter usually coil is good at 8-9 ohms bad at 12ohms. Takes longer than you think especially when using no power tools.. Great job till next time
I agree, Tecumseh is a good engine. I have done works on this engine in my previous videos, changing the oil seal and fixing the carby. In somehow, it spitting oil somewhere between the intake manifold and muffler when it's running - don't know how and why. There are part of this video is missing and in somehow the camera was not recording - filling with fuel and oil change, blowing off oil inside the combustion chamber with compressed air initially didn't start, cleaning the sparkplug and priming the bulb 3x. Yes it is a good practice to spray the air filter with oil but I don't do it to minimise too much dirts and oil deposit which could reduce airflow overtime. Reason why I didn't put back the original 4 blade mulching is I want to use it on my Victa restoration - changing from 4-stroke Briggs Classic 35 into a late model 2-stroke Victa Powertorque. The ignition coil HT side normally reads above 1K Ohms. Some ignition, the control (kill winding) read around 5 Ohms. It's easier to identify faulty ignition coil with inductance meter. It's handy to use power tools as it makes the job easier and quicker. Thanks for the constructive comment. VARIETECH
@@Varietech-AUthank you for your detailed reply, sorry about missing footage that explains some things Just to add if you can turn the volume up a little on your end if possible. I’ll be waiting for repairs on the Tecumseh engine, I don’t know enough about hem, but I do have a couple here 55 and 38.
