I love how Like a Dragon always starts with "more or less what you were expecting", and then, it make SURE you remember how important those first gameplay sections were It's all downhill from there (or uphill for us players)
7:00 and directly after a talk about red flags and sexism, Ichiban makes another mistake and goes to talk to a woman at her place of business: a place where it would be bad for business for her to leave (even if she owns the place) and a bunch of strangers might be watching (makes it extremely uncomfortable for her and risks making her look like the villain). Edit: 7:34 luckily he instead found her in what seems like the absolute least awkward place for her, nice.
Duuuuude right? If a guy came to my job even if he were my friend and we didn’t plan to have lunch or something before hand, I would be so uncomfortable. Ichiban is a sweet boi but he’s also got no understanding of boundaries or how to act around women lol
“Doesn’t know to act around women/doesn’t know boundaries?” I wonder why… 1. Never had a mother or father that could guide him. (Jiro died. Mom not there. No appropriate time to talk with Arakawa before death.) 2. The only women (the women from his childhood) that could teach would have to teach with at a young age. Or when he was 40 (ae. Sa-Chan, Eri, all the other girls.) which they didn’t. 3. He spent one half of his life alone and in the yakuza and he spent the other half in jail. Meaning zero dating experience and dated expectations of women. Not very surprising the only experience with women he has are the minute experiences with the girls and his exaggerated imagination from the previous game.
Btw this sounds really aggressive, which I apologize. But it’s pretty obvious the context doesn’t match the situation. (She wouldn’t know he was hunting her down to her workplace to apologize and she should know his awkwardness of lack of experience/missed time of opportunity.) That’s why she lets him down softly, but with some deflection. (Comparison to other men confessions.
@@Catmat2487 I 100% get it, really, I was thinking about adding something similar myself. Another thing about being in jail for so long is that in that much time society in general can learn a lot more about what should and shouldn’t be normalized, and he missed out on a lot of that. While sexism has always been wrong, a lot less people used to speak up about it to such a degree, and we are still chipping away at those kind of problems. Ichiban, meanwhile, was totally absent for a whole chunk of that process. Morality is pretty much a science, Ichiban missed advancements in it the same way he missed smart phones and stuff.
@JohneAwesome yeah and he really does have a RU-vid channel as well. SEGA or RGG just wanted to throw him in as a celebrity appearance like they do for many of their games. He fought Floyd Mayweather last year in September. He lost but still pretty notable.
This is like genuinely one of my greatest fears. I am not that active on social media, nor do i want to be. I am not the best person in the world, but i do like to help out where i can. And to have someone bigger than you that you dont know about misconstrue the actions that i do, and its not like ill get a chance to say my side of the story, it simply wont affect anything. Like i genuinely cant watch this video from one of my absolute favorite creators because that fear is too big. And its scary because of how easy that can happen to someone. Edit. Im really posting this to get my feelings written down. And i do feel better after posting this so it already did its job
That photo can't be coincidental. To catch Sasaki pilfer those things ,the photo must be taken at the right angle. Without preparations that would be impossible. But only Sasaki and Adachi know when that shoplifting will happen. Was the store owner aware that Adachi gonna do it ? I'm unclear wether Adachi contacts the owner before or after the shoplifting.
Johne remember please You can move in game, and when youre abt to attack, there are arrows that show you where they ragdoll, and that could make them knockback to other team members or other enemies
I don’t think you have yet realized that you can freely move your character within the highlighted circle. So yes, can can position your character to strategically plan back attacks, weapon attacks, slamming enemies to others etc
I think this game was sort of a commentary on global unemployment. Granted in Japan in 2023 the rate was at 2.5% but a lot of people globally were unemployed around the pandemic and many people had to either work from home or either lost their jobs or turned to small at home businesses. It could also be a commentary that times have changed yet again.
Mannn if the section with Saeko and the interrogation segment with Adachi and Nanba got him flustered, I can’t wait to see his reaction in Hawaii 😂 I won’t spoil it lol this game really is too mature and meta at the same time
Yooo, I was really having second-hand embarassment at the end of last episode, but this intro part, where they all hash out exactly what he said and why it might have been taken the wrong way - this is all REALLY GREAT modeling of non-toxic masculinity, tru fax. They assume Ichiban meant well, but that his phrasing needed work. That's much different from blaming the guy for being behind the times cuz of all that time in the clink... Nanba especially has a real broad knowledge and acceptance of different kinds of people - honestly, I shipped Saeko and Nanba in last game, cuz I feel like she would appreciate a good sub :3
Hope you too are doing well today Christopher I'm doing quite well myself, thank you! Was yesterday's video reuploaded, didn't see you there for some reason.
*{Day 365&313} of been impressed by P5R and waiting for P6.* Oh god no... 10:18 This is exactly how I think their relationship was like in the first game, which is why it didn't feel like they had much chemistry. The extra scenes are what add some chemistry but even then they seem like a "Done to be Done" scene, in a way. Like, it happened for the sake of happening and that's it. God-damn...
@@JohneAwesome omg you replied!! it's an rpg horror styled game similar to omori, about 2 guys waking up in an isolating room with no memories. apparently one is a prodigy/genius and the other is a homicidal criminal. you can check the tw before playing it since it has some sensitive topic. it has a lot of endings (13 endings) but i'd be so happy if you played even only 1 ending TT
