I have taken another video with better picture and audio for anyone that is interested: High quality, no music. V-Twin cruising ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Yup8BdD6Zts.html
I have a VTX 1300 S. It's the best bike I've ever owned and it's really reliable. You can find them for not a lot of money and they are really the most dependable bike out there. Lots of people bought them and then never really rode them very much and so you can find them with like 6000 miles for like 3800 dollars sometimes. If you find one like that do yourself a favor and snatch it up quick. A Harley with that low mileage and in that good of shape will cost you 10,000 and won't really be much better if any. The only drawback on the Honda is that it's only a 5 speed so the rpms on the highway are probably somewhat higher.
The video doesn't do it justice. I have an 04 VTX1300c w/Vance and Hines. I swear it accelerates faster and louder than this. Maybe I'm shifting hard and at redline or maybe it's just my adrenaline. Can't tell because there's no tach. Really fun bike and comfy for all day rides too.
Videos in general will never capture the moment as accurate as it will be in person. It’s just how it is. It can give a good indication though. I was giving it everything it had by shifting at the point that the revs stopped rising so quickly. It’s just hard to record it like you would hear with your own ears.
Sounds good I wished mine popped more like yours but it rarely ever does. It was put on a dyno & jetted when it was new but your bikes sounds great man
The jet kit was already installed when purchased so not sure, but the exhaust is around $800 new. Probably much less used if you can find some. Thanks for watching!
I have a Shadow 750, but I despise the chain drive and I'm getting pretty desperate for more power. A VTX 1300 or even 1800 is looking pretty enticing right now lol
Nice! Either one of those would be good. I think the 1300 is probably a bit easier to handle and live with regarding weight at least. Check out my newer video of this bike ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Yup8BdD6Zts.html
My 1800 is a joy to ride! Merging on the freeway not even full throttle I look down and see 80. I'm in love. Bought it decked out including pipes and power commander 3. Mpg sucks though be aware. Oh and hyper charger so yeah it's a hoot. I can't help but twist the throttle to feel like flying
I haven’t rode a fury, so it would be hard for me to judge. Being that they have a similar motorcycle size and weight, I’d imagine the main difference would be the chopper riding style and looks.
As far as I know they will but I would make sure to find out if it has been done by someone on a forum somewhere first or RU-vid before taking my word for it. Also, yeah I am local to the Wilmington area.
That means there's a leak in the system or your jets aren't tuned right. You can use the choke to figure out if it's causing your engine to run lean or rich. If popping goes up when you have choke on- it's too rich If popping foes down it's too lean. I started to get bad popping out of the blue and I looked and the bolts from my headers had vibrated loose and there was no exhaust scavenging from the leak in the system. It doesn't always mean problems but it's lost power one way or the other.
@@BlackRiverRider hey I just wanted to ask because I see a lot of RU-vidrs doing this, why cover the speedometer? Isn't it better if not covered so we can tell the speed and such?
@@kutzelberg8088 It’s just to cover bases with speeding to keep from running into trouble with local law enforcement in case they stumble upon the video and recognize you or the area. I don’t blue it anymore though with a couple of my latest ones.
