Love that car, have spent some time with the car (not drive. It) interviewed 1 of the owners of the VUHL dealership (bespoke performance) and talked about the technical side of the car , might be Mexican but a lot of it is built in the uk. It's on my channel if anyone is Intreasted but great video evo well done
Limited diff is a requirement for me for a track car. First choice for me would be the Radical. Ariel Atom if I wanted a more street comfortable choice.
It would be interesting hum graphic with speed , acceleration and braking . The car itself is show. Like many of these cars Designs made for the track.
Am I the only one that thinks Ford should ditch the "ECOBOOST" name in their perfomance vehicle lineup (this is using the Ford engine right)? The name EcoBoost sounds like something you would give a friendly low hp engine that I'm sure my grandma would drive. Call it what it is, a twin-scroll turbo or simply turbo. BAH!
Any petrol engine could basically run on hydrogen though, so it basically runs on water, and only needs some timing, fuel and ignition adjustments. The problem is that I can't find anywhere to fill up on some hydrogen along the road. :( It's a total possibility to use hydrogen at least, and it's even better than all that electric crap. Heck, you'd even get a nice exhaust note from it that we all love to hear so much as petrolheads. ;)
The Japanese have really been working their asses off trying to make hydrogen cars cheap enough. The confusing part is that the hydrogen is used to produce electricity. So technically the power will come from an electric drive train :(
I like everything about this little car the only thing I hate is the cluster speedometer the company should make another version of the Cluster, looks like 80's calculators they shoul make another in new version
You get an Lotus Exige V6 with an LSD against your one wheel spinning champion and it will beat the brakes off of it. Maybe you like driving with shitty brakes or with crappy injectors or with street tires or without force induction too. These things are added for a reason, they are not toys. They create traction and power.
it will save a lot of KG and space. and feal so u can run a smaller tank(only a thing in 0.1% of the time u use a track day car but still). NA is better to drive, super charger is better power to weight, turbo is even better power to weight and driving skill can compensate for its flaws. driver skill can make some thing lighter. my heart wants V12's my brain wants turbo's.
twin scroll turbo charging are the magic words. These modern engines don´t have turbo lag like engines from the 80´s. In modern Audis, you don´t even notice they are there, when you put your foot down. Zero lag. And a n/a 2.0 engine would need more fuel, higher redline, probably ITBs... it´s just overall easier to use a turbocharged engine.
I don't want to sound like a douchebag since I have never driven the car myself but I feel this is not a professional race driver. Watching Race Of Champions they push this little beast way harder.
The problem I see with these kinds of cars is that even though most of them are amazing track cars, there's no real reason to buy one if there's no other use for it. Why would you buy this instead of a used classic porsche? If this came with a detatchabe hard top and had a decent front boot, it would make so much more sense and fly out of the showrooms. For now it's an idiot's toy car, where it could be something amazing.
