I had mine sitting on a shelve for almost 4 years, frustrated not knowing how to use it the right way but know I've used it a few times without any problems thanks to you.
I had to make a review myself because nobody shows the batteries going in, nobody shows the format button, nobody really emphasizes the downsides of the unit, or discusses possible errors. That said yours is the best vupoint magic wand video sir.
No, didn't do that. Actually going to be testing their newer version of this product next month. I think it would work well as along as you adapted to the different size of the book :)
I will check your video. By the way, is there any brand that offers good scan definition and do not use batteries but instead can be rechargeable using a usb port? I think it might be quite annoying to use batteries nowadays.
I believe scanning apps for phones have pretty much relegated these products to the VHS heap. Cheap or free IOS and Android apps provide scanning and OCR capabilities without having to carry around one of these billy-clubs in a case.
@@PrivateInvestigatorAdvice Didn't mention it, but I did enjoy your review- well done! Two that I've had a lot of good experience with are Adobe Scan and Scanner Pro, both are free and on IOS. Not sure if they're both available on Android. I think the Adobe Scan's quality (on auto mode) rivals my Scansnap scans, but a whole lot more convenient than carrying around a (even portable) scanner. BTW, I thought the Wand's scan looked fairly jankie compared to your desktop scan.
I've been using Google docs scan option to scan contracts. Set it to black and white and high quality and the quality is pretty decent. Just need to take a picture of each page. I can scan about 8 pages in a couple min. Would be nice if the app didn't prompt and require a key press after each page
There is a slot in your computer. You can search how to do it as well. Placing an sd into a computer is a common task. If u don't have a slot it can be a bit trickier
