Flea market find 1917 VV-IV, common type Victrola, but not common year due to the horn slats omitted that year only to preserve material for the war effort. This is after near five hours of cleaning with Kotton Klenser, the wood was so filthy it looked black. The metal parts are in Evaporust liquid, not Kotton Klenser metal cleaner as that is a paste. Nice cabinet was found under the crud.

I'm restoring my 1st Victrola and it's a VV-50. I'm in need of the original crank and escutcheon. I've watched and learned a lot from these videos. TY

I currently have another XI, plus a huge Victrola 16, and an early Silvertone model x ( 1916) that looks lie it came from the Addams family mansion waiting for me to open them up. I considered a Gettysburg run but with my foot in a boot I wouldn't be able to do much tramping around the field. Maybe next year.
