I just had this same problem with my 01 Beetle, EPC light and No throttle. Pulled the codes and the first one was bank 1, sensor 2, O2 heater short and everything else it caused from them. Replaced the O2 sensors and put in another ECU and all is good.
I had this same issue but found a temporary solution. When this happens your ECU sends 5 volts to the 2 ground wires going to your pedal. I found that if you bypass the ecu’s signal and ground the 2 ground pins on the pedal the EPC light will shut off and the car will be drivable. That being said I’m not sure if this causes any other damaged so do this at your own discretion to get you home without a tow.
I have a jetta 1.8t (Audi TT engine) 2001 Wolfsburg. My epc slams and jerks on my engine when its about to flash the epc light on. No engine codes anymore after replacing o2 sensor 1 but still epc is coming on! What do i do. Will make sure my new o2 sensor isnt hanging now😅
I have an 02 Jetta, the EapC and check engine light is on, it cranks, strata for 2 seconds and dies,no matter how much gas you give it, it will not run, changed ($300) fuel pump and filter, same thing is going on. This could be the problem, thx
I have ko4 turbo set up and 3inch exhiast etc I have same problem but it’s only when I try boosting it while driving epic comes on when it spins them there no throttle I turn it off and back on it’s fine untill i boost again can anyone help????
it's happening some similar failure on my 2007 VW Lupo (it came out a bank 2 sensor throttle body implausible signal and a brake switch implausible signal ), in a previus failure code (epc), i saw a coolant relative code (i din´t save it),
I've replaced the accelerator Pedal? I have a 2002 2.8l GLI I replaced the pedal because it was throwing codes p2138, G79/G185, p1639 but after driving epc light ABS and Trac light come on again.. I'm lost any input would be helpful 18047 - Accelerator Position Sensor 1/2 (G79/G185): Implausible Signal yeah I'm at a loss.. the only codes it threw were the ones listed above. If it had something to do with the TB itself I would think different codes would come up? The scan was done on a Solus Ultra (snap-on) also cleaned the TB (alot of carbon build up) and clean Mass Air flow sensor. But adapted TB Also Replaced the brake tailight switch just to be sure. Still same thing. Also when I release the brake pedal I hear a hissing sound but my pedal doesn't seem hard nor does it make noise while driving just when i let off the pedal? Does this mean brake booster or master cylinder bad?? Guess it sounds like i need a ECU. I have 1/2 throttle though it only comes on in a middle of me drive and limits my power to half
Bought an 03 passat. The kid I got it from was jumping it said it had a bad battery and also needs an exaughst from the flex pipe back. So I drove it home got new battery still had to jump it gave up for the day pluged it in to see what codes came up bunch since the exaughst isnt on and also said bad starter. Got a starter the next day from a friend I went to try and start it first and epc light now was on too. At this point im pissed but replaced the starter figured it would go out. Nope after replacing that still won't start and the epc light is still on and it still won't even start.. So would this cause it to not start?
WELL i would love for someone to step up and show us how to it... but i dont think thats going to happpen..... so i probably have to search and find how to do it. what i know is to get a different ecu and delete the immobilizer
I tryed taking out my chip that the cluster reads for the key to work and putting it in a good ECU I had and I almost had it but I broke the lil prongs on the chip about 4 of them because I didnt have a very good soldering gun but I did try it and my imobilizer light wasnt going off so if I would of had a better soldering gun no doubt It would have worked i would bet on it maybe lol
+OSCAR CEJA no brother on this car i have stock intercooler, i have a video about the front mount just go to my channel and find the video of the front mount intercooler install. On my blue i didn't really noticed anything but you will with a 50mm turbo 550cc injectors 3" exhaust and srage 2+ecu
Hey bud I have a 2008 vw beetle and my instrument cluster burned out no lights would come on and car would start and just turns off, so I got new used cluster and had my ecu An had the Immo deleted, now car starts right up but lots of lights on cluster and no throttle response, I checked 02 wires I didn’t see no short??? Any help
Hey man, my Audi A3 epc light came on and car basically stalled out. I turned it back on and light was off but car still stutters under acceleration. Is this due to the sensor/ecu just like your situation?
+Steve T i dont think its the same symptoms as my car, however i do recommend for you ro scan for codes before it gets worse. I dont think its a mayor issue you probably just need to replace your coils. Let me know if you fis the problem
I have the same problem with my Audi A3. I just brought the car in dealership for maintenace service and I don't know why they did not even discovered it.
My epc light came on in my 2012 Jetta yesterday and my gas pedal wouldn’t work!! Right before it happened I noticed a strong smell of gasoline in my car but I thought it was because I was sitting in a drive thru line with other cars... I have no idea what’s going on!!!
Yero Martin Honestly just Google search for 1.8t ecu tune stg 1 or 2 depending on how much you want to spend. Sure it's nice to know someone local but almost everyone price starts at $500.
Hi, great video, I replaced my ecu and it reved again now nothing, so I'm guessing it's fried again, iv checked the lambada sensor wires and nothing seems wrong, is this the only thing that would cause this?
Check the relay 428 ecm relay is located in the engine bay behind the air filter box close to abs reservoir. Small black box with 2 relays 1 gray 1 black. Makesure 428 is working... and recheck your wiring hardness make sure that you do not have any broken cables.
Hey fam, where the link for a custom ecu, I need to order one. Cuz same thing happen to mine. 01 1.8t auto. Help. Been down for a wail. Can u format one?
there is many ways to get and ecu from eBay has people selling their tune ecu, or eurocustoms, gonso, apr, urotuning, unitronic and many more have the tune you need for your ecu.. i seen people selling their tune on Facebook too now the tune you use is depending on how many upgrades you want do to your car..
@@squalo777videos I just got cold air intake. Front mount , Stock turbo I just need it going again. I broke that stupid o2 sensor off. Haven’t ran since. But I did put new one back in and throttle peddle still nothing.just starts , no gas lol
@@SassyGabby8829 get a stage 1 tune just make sure you tell them what all you done to your car... go to ebay type in jetta 1.8t ecu you will have to get one with immobilizer turn off but stage 1
Hey man. So what do you do to the wires. I only have the first oxygen sensor plugged in now. Second one unplugged. I have them back in the original box underneath the car. Should i cover the unplugged connector or just make sure their not hanging on the ground?
squalo777 videos thanks for the reply! I just picked up a jetta.. same issue. Cars revving wires broken. Do i need to replace 02 wiring harness ? Or just ecu? Also hearing gotta replace throttle body and wires. Maybe shorts somewhere else. Can you confirm that. Also im eurodyne from precious owner. Would it be possible to save the tune ?
squalo777 videos my car is doing the same, Epc and asr lights come on,and i loose power, I had my car ecu tuned like 1 month ago So i can buy another ecu, tuned and swap ecus? 1 of my 02 sensor is bent, what will u do first? Replace de sensor or go ahead and replace sensor and ecu? Im going crazy :(
Hello, i have a question, my car bucks in 1st and second gear when i try and accelerate quickly(not even petal to the floor) it feels like trying to roll starting a car where its really jumpy.. iv replaced anything that could cause this to happen; timing belt, map, maf, cam position, crank position, n75, hocky puck, coil packs/plugs, fuel pump, o2 sensors, diverter valve and probably more stuff has been replaced trying to fix this issue, do you think ecu could be the issue? Theres no lights on the dash that come on and i have checked my car with vagcom and said everything was good. Have you heard about any issues like this?
+sebastian soto bro you might not believe me but it happened to me once and the only thing that i did was to disconnect the negative cable from the battery and put it back, i rrally think it was my ecu.
try to clean the maf sensor (use contact cleaner that leaves no residue) + clean the throttle body and do a TBA (Throttle body alignment) to recalibrate it
I fucked up my o2 scencer. Bought a new one and put it in. And change ecu and it starts and shuts off. I put my old one in. It will start but wont have any throttle response. I bottom out car and then it had no throttle response
+Worldstar Denver any freaking cables that break or get in contact with each other are going to kill the ecu. This already happened to me twice once with the 02 sensors and the other one with the cables going to the starter
If you have 2- step and your ECU gets fried from wires breaking will it still 2-step or no? Cause as of rn I’ve replaced EVERYTHING you can that could possibly pull up the EPC light, and it still revs up very slow and my 2-step still works.
check if 02 sensors wires are okay.. check if no water got into any of the relays specially the ecm relay its a gray relay with 428 mark and is located in the engine bay , if you see any corrosion in relays or fuses change them.
That's not always the case. We have a 01 TT that once you start the car the light is off once you touch the throttle the epc light comes on but can still drive the car with limited power so solve that one lol
@@MrYukon04 very unfortunate. I power washed my engine bay and now I have limited power. It's in some sort of limp mode but it's fine until you hit the throttle
@@James-wm8gq yeah we put a new computer and everything through a bunch of parts at it and short of just taking it to Audi and letting them do it but they said it was going to be an expensive fix so customer said he wasn't worried about it since the only paid $1,000 for the car
I’m having same issue my tb makes one click then don’t make a beeping sound when my key is turned to accessory but if I turn it off hold down the pedal a little it turned my epc light off and then I can hear the tb trying to adapt as soon as I let off pedal epc light comes on then no throttle response I’ve tried every different way possible as well
@@osirisfornever9127 what year is yours I have 04 gti stage 1 ecu ko4 I shaved the bay quite a bit and replaced a bunch of stuff did some wire tucking into frame made sure I had no leaks I bought OBDeleven pro but won’t let me adapt tb guess I need vagcom but don’t have computer and I read that people still have issues
@@austinfeathers7773 I have a 2001 Jetta but my motor is from my 2003 gti! Idk if that makes a difference but I'm about to get my ECU and dash cluster and key that I sold way to cheep like 3 days before this happened so I'm hoping it works I havent had my car for like a month and I dont like my girlfriends automatic Kia it's a pos I mean it runs and drives but yeah
Ecu es el procesador que controls los sensores del carro, lo conocen como la computadora, ecu, ecm, como el cerebro del motor y la que Guarda informacion del carro
I did the same for a while, but there were times moving from a stop I would lose acceleration quicky, epc pops on and car would die. Not safe in traffic. Fix, so far at least, was a new throttle body (it was very hesitant until engine warmed - not sure if it caused the stalling.). The main fix was replacing the MAF. That has always been the main cause for the EPC light going on. Since installing, no issues. It's a 5 minute job you can do yourself and it saved me $400 compared to what the mechanic wanted for the job.
Hey dude. Thanks for the video. I'm having a similar issue. Car idles but no throttle response. This has happen twice to me. I put the car off and restart and everything is normal again. Error code, bank 1 sensor 2 internal resistance to high. Please advise.
@@ashleynaidoo6907 if you have intermittent throttle response you might have to check you ecu relay. is behind the battery in the engine bay. that relay gives problems of none start and throttle response . let us know if you fix the problem
@@squalo777videos hey dude. Yeah I also have starting issues from time to time. I'm driving polo gti 9n3, Will it still be in same position as mentioned?
