the guy i bought my 1.8t from said it needed a new oil feed line and 1 day after i bought it so much blueish smoke started coming out of my exhaust and hood, would you think that its just the line or the turbo itself that needs replacing??
Why did not he use the gaskets? The AUDI book does not mention RTV silicon gasket maker..... You can buy the upper and lower gasket. I would have cleaned up the oil everywhere before starting the job.
Has your turbo barrings failed yet? All the oil up there looked like you may have a small leak. Mine took a shit the other day not im removing the turbo and replacing lines.
Thank you! In your opinion will this help my situation to replace? 03 1.8t stage 2 etc, turbo isnt blown but sounds a bit lazy and here and there getting minimal white smoke. Changing this part should help?
If you’re leaking oil from the line I would change it but I think once turbos start puffing it’s too late. My wife’s Jetta was totaled a couple days after replacing the line so I don’t know if her turbo would’ve kept rocking👍👍
