I spent 75% of the initial cleaning process saying "You should wear gloves, dude..." 🤣 Still, pretty satisfying video to watch. Congratulations on having Alabama cleaned up! And good luck with this new project!
this beetle is pretty nice. You might be able to just do a repair section on the right pan half and drive it like it is. I have seen some guys drive much worse. Just replace that section behind the seat in the car Butt a piece in there or some patches. and Drive that sucker. Those rear seats have the original material on them. Fronts were replaced. but they are still really cool.
It's in the garage. You can see it in the background in this video. More updates on the 1965 "Georgia" soon. This one is "Alabama" a 1964 barn find! =)
You need a Project Manager CT. I was hoping this was bought as a parts car for Georgia. You already know that this one is too far gone to fully restore, but it looks like you could make use of many of these parts to help finish Georgia. I'm just trying to help you stay on track with your current projects.
Hi there, first of all congratulations on rescuing the Volkswagen, and also for all your work on the channel, recently I also rescued a Beatle here in Brazil, it's a 1979, it doesn't have that wonderful patina that yours has, but it's getting good, a hug and I just subscribed to your channel.
CT please wear gloves mate you just don't know what may lurk in the junk would hate for you to get bitten or fall sick dirty dust particles etc. Wear a mask mate your videos are magnificent always look forward to them
Yes, it's in pretty goos shape but it does have some moister issues. Wolfsburg West makes a really nice one for the beetle...not sure if they have one for the Ghia.
My first thought was you bought a spare part spender for "Georgia " , CT. But okay let's do some basic works and get it really quick on the road again.
This reminds me of a VW Bug project car I had many years ago. There was sooo much rust everywhere in and on it !! I had to rip out all of the interior it was all rotten and smelled really bad. I eventually took the car completely apart, restored as many of the parts and pieces as I possibly could then spent a whole bunch of $$$ replacing what I could not restore or repair. I wish I still had my bug, I really miss that car !!!
Scrubbing bubbles is very good for mildew at Costco se have mildew sometimes and us maintenance have to clean it up and we use scrubbing bubbles for it so yeah
Hey, just curious, are you ever gonna finish the swamp wagon?Put it back together, I know you got about 10 projects going on.But you've never finished one over them.Let's see that haopen and thank you for the videos
um our eyes may be going bad, but at fifty eight , i strongly suggest in "seriously rethinking of the floor mats" they look in great condition just needs some soaking, and cleaning, they are still in great shape nonetheless. its good way to save fifty so dollars on new mats
Here in my country, gloves are foreign to us. Our hands are gnarled and callused. But to this folk who pick parts gingerly using his thumb and forefinger, he clearly needs gloves. When we pick things we used all our hand fingers. Pardon my English, I'm not good.
No gloves, no mask. How do you do it? I can feel the dust in my throat even though I'm not there.🤢 27:18 I'm going to get my dust mask after digging through for 20 minutes without it 😵💫
Hey CT. Good to see you again waiting more on that beatle hope she’s has some meat left on the bone I know you strip it down like the first one the tunnel hopefully is good take the body off see what you got to work with you becoming the CT VW man later man👍⭐️
my question to you is why don’t you try epoxy resin or epoxy on the whole floor of course patch the giant holes and stuff just a question i don’t think it would take much to accomplish this and it would be super cheap instead of taking all the floors out you use clear or whatever color you want
That is good to know. I've been looking for clues as to when he stopped driving it. They said he stoped driving the car 25 years ago. seems like it's been sitting longer to me.
Esta bien que limpies toda esa basura pero no metas tu mano alli puede morderte o picarte un animal o cortarte y coger una infeccion no seas tan confiado todo por tu seguridad bendiciones buen video
