This is the second video in my serious on converting a classic air-cooled VW from points to electronic ignition. In this video, I actually install the distributor that I introduced and unboxed in the first video.
I'm sure that's possible but I've never looked for such a system for an air-cooled VW. I would think you'd need some sort of crankshaft position sensor to make it work without a distributor.
