VW Bus Found - First Start - Will it Run & Drive with the junk 1776 engine?

Today we go find and rescue an old Vw Bus panel van found in a garage. Later we try and negotiate a price with ‪@DubWerks‬ . Then Taylor from ‪@wickedwerks‬ comes down for a follow up on the junk 1776 engine I sold him for $300.00 . Taylor refreshes the engine and install it in his Vw Bus and we take it for my first drive. Oh and the Barn Find 1958 Vw Beetle gets its first start in decades !

You just found a van that didn’t need a boat load of bodywork and you just about gave it away. Good video and lucky new owner. That is how you should treat your buddies! Dubwerks has a great panel van there. Someone has done a huge amount of work already. I would find the correct door and finish the panelling, fixing the dents then paint the whole thing. Be careful painting the interior, I saw a person once who didn't cover his self up and came out with a blue head and that was in a proper spray booth! Just a warning. Great update Jason. 👍👍

My 2nd VW was a ‘59 panel van. That was my favorite until my bay window pop up campers. My panel was 10 years old and almost perfect.

Does the Mcode say it’s a Panel model? With the side windows frames out on the inside I’d be willing to bet it was a kombi or standard originally as panels don’t have the window openings like that framed in.

I would probably say $7000 if it’s got a motor. I think the shop is getting really full how will ever be able to get all of these projects done!!!! Hair cut and beard removal all at once maybe you should just trim a little off next time. Hope you have a great week.
