The accumulation of problems and the gradual reduction in available tools made the rescue progressively more entertaining. Well done!

Just s couple things thst might help out with that winch. Much thicker cables will carry the current and get yourself a pulley, like that's on the end of that come along and double your cable back. It will take a lot of stress off of the winch. Plus if you set it up right, you can use it to re-direct your pulls. Great videos.

I had a 66 with basically the same features, no middle seat, bench front, simple windows. Dark blue and white two tone. At the time I didn’t know much about it, just where to put the gas in! I was a teenager and needed a van to haul band gear! Rock on baby!

I rescued a 63 Campmobile about 4 years ago. Small hatch, fried eggs and ice pics like this one. The interior survived better than expected. Love mouse grey, your bus looks pretty savable!!! That passenger mirror is trick lol. Awesome, rescue Jason glad you are rock'en this old school. I liked how you hammered on the brake shoes through the lug holes. But have messed up a few drums hammering on the outer brake service. Had flat spots instead of round drum surface. Since I've managed avoided the otter ridge so I can reuse the drum without difficulties!!

Nothing like digging out a VW to work the sickness out of you. Hope you are feeling better. Can't wait to see this bus after you clean it out. Let me know when it becomes available.

Hey Jason, That Thyroid thing is no joke. When mine went kaphlooey I could barely climb a step ladder. Walking to the mailbox required one or two rest periods each way. And I was trying to help my brother-in-law build a house and many days I struggled to get from one end of the foundation to the other. Had mine zapped (radioactive pill) and with meds, I feel a whole bunch better. Oh, and you are a very entertaining Rescue/Wrecker guy.

The key to consistency is being consistent! Doing a rescue, yet leaving key elements/TOOLS behind that would make a rescue a tad easier (though probably less entertaining). Know that you are doing The Lord’s work! Me getting strange looks as I laugh out loud while watching this as I workout at the local… thanks again! You and Dubwerks NEVER disappoint!

I hope you are feeling better. I truly like watching to see what you find and I am amazed at all the VWs that you find for sure. BUT, You would think after all the recoveries you’ve done you would have it together by now. You work way too hard to get these loaded and home, but maybe that’s what most people want to see.

As a former Marine from Connecticut and a VW Bus Chaser living in South Carolina, it was great to see you “adapt and overcome “ and well done. I purchased a good quality winch ad have added a double battery box on my car trailer. I only use one and keep the other as a spare. I got tired of come alongs that will bust or kink. I have a 2000 pound chain fall that I use to transfer my engines from cart to cart but it has a neutral position on the cranking arm so you can put it in “N” and pull the slack out of the chain. I hope you come to the No Dough Bus Show in Port Orange in April of 24, you will enjoy it. I have met Mustie over the years and Jason Remmick at the NH Bug show and we have a great community. I always enjoy your adventures and repairs, good freestyle. Jim

First time I've seen a trailer with side loading ramps. I just can't see that being a benefit. Love your electric saw I'm going to look for one. Gas saws never want to start when you need them.

Hey Jason, hats off to you with this one ,a major mission to say the least! I also have a 63/64 crossover patina Mouse Gray bus that I’ve recently picked up . Unfortunately it was was missing the rear bumper .Ive managed to get a rear bumper but I’m still missing the rear over riders and towel rails . If you have any for sale or know of any I’d be interested. I’m in the uk but depending on price it still might be worth a shot Cheers ja 🤙
