Thank you all for the positive feedback! Just to let everyone know, discussions are underway and plans being made - *to make these available!* YES! Will let you know more as soon as we can.
Hi Will - these brackets are a brilliant solution. Bravo to Carl for making such a simple/practical way of hanging a screen. Definitely would be interested in buying some. Thanks Andrew
Neat and simple. Delighted to know we can have In-Van cinema but not sure if we could stay awake long enough to set it up. Might be something for winter camping.
This is great, I’ve been planning my screen solutions for 12 months while waiting for the cali. I expect I will be doing something similar for my soft screen or getting the one you have and making something up on the 3D printer.
Well, you’re in luck! Campervanbits.com are now selling these and taking pre-orders too for the next batch they have coming in. Be quick though, they’re selling like hot cakes!! Check out the video description for the link 👍
That set up looks pretty cool. Our dilemma is we have a 7 year old, so have to seat 3 all facing the same way to watch something so not quite branched out into the world of in van TV's, but we will one day!!
Very excited by this TV watching solution but for your info: Amazon appear to have mucked about with the product links their end - the link you give goes to a 70" screen - which I'm not sure will fit in a Cali!! It might be worth editing the link/description to say it's the BPS40/43 that you need (appears unavailable at the moment) not the BPS70/43 which is at the end of the hyperlink. Just don't want anyone ending up with a incorrectly ordered massive screen!! Keep up the good work Cali Time!
This is fantastic, I wish I had thought about one of this units, I've just had a 15 in dvd player fitted in my new swamper van .Still no reason why I couldn't purchase one still and maybe use it out side the van in the awning 👍
Brilliant idea. Hopefully if we ever get our Cali will want some. The only question being, why weren't the brackets made with slightly bigger holes so that one wouldn't have to remove the screen end fittings? Cheers
Great product, perhaps it would fit in the roof of other conversions? I love your VW bunting, can you please let us all know where we can buy these? Apologies if you've already posted this 😃 Thanks
Hi there ! Gret video and great solution. Just bought them, But unfortunately, the screen projector is out of stock everywhere. I was wondering if the brakets would fit other screen projector ?
They've been designed to work with that specific one, so not sure about others. I think some people have bought the bigger screen and cut it down though (of the same make/type). I also know that they do have a new shipment of the correct screen coming in too so it might be worth waiting a bit?
Just bought a set: felt a little expensive for what they are but worth it not to drill holes in the cali and have something that actually fits. Should be arriving in a couple of days. Can see us setting up the projector and watching a film in the drive just to check it out 🍿. Oh and top tip on where to store the screen when not in use. I unfortunately saw your video on the projector and then went and bought the wrong nebula model. It doesn’t correct for angle so will see if putting it on the fold out table works if I have it right back as far as it goes as I can’t buy another one ha. I’ve recently bought the Comfortz awning room for the cali which o don’t think you’ve reviewed but wanted something easy to put up that was enclosed as we have a bigger awning for longer trips in one place. Will let you know if it’s worth you doing a review when I get it.
I’m sure you’ll be able to position the projector somehow to get a decent picture. The awning room is quite smart, we’ve seen one a few times and we really should take one out for a weekend and give it a proper go. Some of our friends have it and really love it.
@@CampervanTime it just seems simpler than the big awning and useful from a cover when it wet (or outdoor cooking, porta potty location) but haven’t had a chance to use it yet because of commitments. We bought the awning straps from your top 10 so didn’t need to buy them too! 👍
These are now available to buy/order HERE: vwcaliforniaclub.com/shop/product/vw-california-t5-t6-t6-1-projector-screen-fitting-kit Thank you to everyone who commented, *your interest made this happen*!
Hi - Campervanbits sell them - vwcaliforniaclub.com/shop/product/vw-california-t5-t6-t6-1-projector-screen-fitting-kit - you then need to get the screen too.
I saw Carl post these on the forum and left a note to some on how to DL the plans and upload to a 3D print provider. I priced around and with the cheapest print site the best I could get was about 30 quid. Easy enough to do on your own and get them sent out in a few weeks. For sure would be interested in some on the Forum as a group order - maybe start a thread there to have the discussion?
It's a duronic.com/products/duronic-projector-screen-bps40-43-simple-bar-wall-mountable-hd-projection-screen-for-school-theatre-cinema-home-projector-matte-white-screen-size-81-x-61cm-4k-8k-ultra-hdr-3d-ready-4-3 but they are out of stock at the moment. Some people have contacted them and they say they are back in stock soon.
Loving your videos with great tips and top tens ( all ordered!) Cali ordered yesterday, screen ordered today, let us know when the brackets are available and we'll order a set in anticipation of delivery next March😁
@@CampervanTime thank you. They did advise that could still change but we're keeping everything crossed. Meanwhile we've hired an ocean for a few days end of this month to have a practice and will keep watching your videos for advice (and a few laughs).
Hi really love the channel and the great advice. I'm thinking of getting a projector for my vw t6 but the nebula is too expensive for me . Could you recommend a cheaper model or other good brand. Also what size screen would you recommend for a vwt6. Keep up the great content much appreciated. Deirdre
Does it just fit the Cali? Our friends have a VW Camper King conversion, so I’m wondering if the screen and bracket would suit their van! Thanks for sharing.
The screen is probably about the right width, but the brackets needed will be different as these are very specific to the profile of the plastic channel that the roller screen that covers up the canvas. We also have friends with a Camper King conversion so….. need to show this to them and see!
Hiya. So we finally got our brackets yesterday from Campervan bits but I cannot find the screen. I clicked on your link but it comes up with a 60" screen which doesnt match your dimensions in the video. Any suggestions, please?
I think they are temporarily out of stock on amazon (someone else in the comments here was asking) and it’s the 40” version you need. The Duronic website shows it but out of stock at the moment too - sorry! So many supply issues with everything at the moment :(
The info is in the video description (for future info, we try to put all links in there but do realise sometimes people can't see that info if watching on a TV etc). The brackets are from Campervanbits.com and the screen is from Amazon, it's a Duronic BPS40/43. The screen is out of stock but coming back in soon apparently.
@@CampervanTime Hello, the problem is that I am in Holland and have to order a minimum of 200 pounds. Is there a different place to order them? I ordered the screen allready. Thanks, Ad
They are exclusively sold through campervanbits but if you ring them I’m sure they can sort something better on the postage for you. They are quite light !
@@CampervanTime Hello, thank you for your answer...... I gave thema call allready and they the policy is 200 pounds...... I am going to sort something out.... Thank you for your effort and keep posting videos. They are helpfull and fun :)
Hi Will, I ordered these and the screen linked but it looks way too big. The link takes me to the Duronic BPS/70 which is 62” wide! Should it be the BPS/50 or am I missing something? Thanks in advance
Hi - yes it should be the BPS40/43 - I'll double check the link. Sorry about that. I think they may be out of stock of the screen at the moment on amazon so might be worth checking with Duronic themselves?
@@CampervanTime thanks for taking time to respond. Yes they are out of stock as are Duronic, your video has started a sales rush! I think Amazon sent the link to a stock item so I suspect it wasn’t you posting an incorrect link. Thanks again.
Is there a way I can get this for my T4 Eurovan full camper 1997? The Nebula holder as well that I saw in another hack video. I'm a movie buff and really need that :-) Thanks
I don't think Carl has made any specifically for the T4 but if you have front grab handles above the doors you might have some luck with the generic T5/6 ones he's designed. See: vwcaliforniaclub.com/shop/product/vw-t5-t6-t6-1-campervan-projector-screen-fitting-kit-works-with-swivel-seats
@@CampervanTime Thank you. You did use your screen before Carl's brackets I think? What was your setup? Thanks again for the reply and the great video, very informative and made me spend money haha.
Hi guys, can you send the link or model number for the Duronic projector screen as just received one from amazon from campervanbits link and it’s too long at 116cm Think yours is shorter? Regards Gill
They sure are! The link is in the description, but they're here: vwcaliforniaclub.com/shop/product/vw-california-t5-t6-t6-1-projector-screen-fitting-kit
Well…. Our friends have a Camper King a couple of villages away. They are camera shy (we’re tried before!) BUT, that doesn’t stop us pitching up at theirs and seeing / trying etc!!
Great idea but I think they're too expensive at £22.99 on campervan bits, not far off the cost of the screen. I'd definitely buy some if a lot cheaper elsewhere?
Good evening all, I have been busy printing these and by the middle of next week I will have a small stock available to purchase I am likely to list them on eBay initially, I will post the link here At the moment I have them in dark grey and black
Such a fantastic invention. I've just purchased a set. Do you have a solution to suspend a Nebula projector from the other end of the van near to the cupboard? 😁
Hi all, wow what a response, I actually shared these with Will and Sarah as their videos have helped me in every decision during and after the purchase of our California I will do what I can to make these available to everyone that is interested. With a little help I would also be able to make them for other vans. Again thank you for your kind comments and thank you Will and Sarah
Hi Carl I have been searching on ebay for these but don't quite know what to put in as I can't find them when I put in screen brackets or TV screen brackets - hope there are some left
They do, they’re just out of stock at the moment I understand. It’s still listed on the Duronic website and someone else enquired. 4 to 6 weeks I think, no-doubt on a boat from China.
