Myself (Will), Sarah my wife and Roxy (our Border Collie pup) are keen to share our experiences with you and let you have hints, tips and advice on all things campervan, campervanning and exploration. We like to try new campsites and camping gadgets / products, so look out for reviews with unboxing / reviewing and installs too. We bought a Volkswagen California in 2018 (a T6 Ocean 204). We since sold this in September 2020 and took delivery of our T6.1 Ocean 204 4motion in July 21. In late 2022 we decided to sell our T6.1, and currently have a Westfalia Sven Hedin on order. We've got loads of plans to share and we are constantly improving the quality of our videos and audio - so bear with us as we try to improve with each video we put together. Got to tip number one and realised you had no idea what you’re talking about. You can’t be done for drink driving unless the key in the ignition. You certainly can’t be booked for a police officer “assuming” your actions. Secondly, I refuse to take any advice from a women who can’t control her calorie intake in relation to her output.
The Camping and Caravan will throw you out, as they did me July 2024, for not having a fixed bed. As I carry a motorcycle inside the van in the place where I could fit a bed. It has taken a nasty person within the CCC 13 years to come to this decision. To be totally fair they are throwing my membership fee back into my bank. But generally the CCC is hazardous to be a member of, as the site managers might refuse you entry. REMEMBER THIS, for £10 per night you can still find a good farm site in most areas. So I say "Don't trust the big two" THEY overcharge in many areas.

Considering the high cost of the Sven Hedin, I’m surprised it does not come with Reni’s blinds fitted as standard. Much simpler solution. Is there any reason you do not want to use internal fitted blinds?

Who needs flying cars when you have a fridge that can open both ways!? 😉 In US, these vans can easily hit $250,000. For $100,000 you'll be lucky to get an air mattress and a blanket from a dollar store with an empty van.😂😂
Insist on an actual empty weight from the dealer before purchase so you have a good idea what you are dealing with. Too many motorhomes and campervans are way overweight.
oh, I didn't know I can buy USB chanrger for the toothbrush. on my recent holidays my toothbrush got flat 1 day before the end and i used it like a usual non electric brush. I thought if the charger is 2 pin plug for the UK bathrooms it would work in Europe. it didn't. thanks for the idea!
If ever there was an example of a ‘biased’ vlog this is it. No real tech detail and no serious comparisons against the rutx-50. For what it’s worth I have one of these but I bought it after looking at the specifications and I didn’t need the extensive personalised set ups of the rutx-50. Sadly another RU-vidr succumbs to the lure of the coin.
Do you think it would be any good at the beach too or are we better with our trusty old wooden pole wind break? Did you consider the pro and what made you decide in going for this instead?
Good summary of Southwell but you missed the seafood stalls, pub and most importantly Mrs T’s Fish & Chip shop along the harbourside on the River Blythe. All very close to the campsite.
Now you have the sheep pen, you have the sheep dog already, all you need now is the sheep. You could even camp in Canada now - onto Toronto 'pronto' Tonto !
You really do not need all this crap. Just get behind the wheel and go! Honestly, if you can't do without all this crap, sell the van and stay at home 😚
If you drive to the end of ALDEBURGH town centre towards the yacht club through the gravel car park you can park along the side and stay for a couple of nights one side is fields and the other the beach, great park up, you will see other vans parked there, no issues.
We've had our 3 panel one for over a year, a brilliant bit of kit. Easy to pop up and down, stable in the wind. We have lost count on how many people have been over to ask about it 😅
When you erect the Pronto you don't pull the X's upwards you push them down from above, the Kador strips are for fixing lengths of windbreak together and attaching them to the O/R range of awnings and Screenhouses.......Nice bit of kit.
Fun review and neat design. We still hammer in poles for our £20 rainbow panel cotton windbreak. Not much use in strong winds. We were nearly tempted by an air gazebo for a wet garden party. With a similar pack size to a Pronto and 8kg, the sides would toggle down to make a windbreak. At £250 a good addition to a van awning.
Love our OR Pronto 4 panel windbreak! Heading to Norway next month and considering what kit in terms of awning sides 'make the cut' ... but, no question, the Pronto 4 will be going with us!! So easy to put up (may I be so bold as to suggest much easier than your initial demonstration!! 😂). I would say awning plus Pronto 4 almost makes rainblockers redundant except in the foulest of conditions?!! Fantastic piece of kit.😊
Looks great, we're using our VW poled red wind break, bought at Camperjam last year, does the job. We've just added steel tips to the wooden poles to strengthen them 😄
For number 1 a hospital solution (urinal) is sufficient. As mentioned 1 per person is needed if because + 500ml “production” is quite normal and they hold 1000 ml. Number 2, being more of a daily matter has never been a problem planning. The emergency solutions were interesting.
That’s not how you do it, face it the other way and push down in the centre , much easier. Strip is for extension panel or connecting multiples. We have the pro version which is the same overall length but has three longer panels which are easier to handle in the wind.
