Thank you for the appreciations. It is my childhood dream to have a VW GOLF GTI II 1.8 16v KR completely restoration as we have not seen in our country . Most people around me do not understand me and condemn me for the effort and money invested , but satisfied that I have when I see more and more of a dream realized does not compare !! :)(Romania)

Don't listen to your friends.... If it's really the thing you want, just go for it, I'm looking for an ABF Engine, or even an Golf GTI 16v Mk3 to work on, just saving cash lol

Gire la bujía del primer cilindro (o los 4 para girar más fácilmente), inserte un destornillador en el orificio de la bujía y gire con una llave de eje hasta que sienta con el destornillador que el pistón está hacia arriba, en punto muerto. En ese momento, tanto el signo "OT" en el árbol de levas como la polea ranurada deben estar en el signo. Si no es así, significa que estás barriendo, así que giras una vuelta más, para alcanzar la compresión. Además, puede quitar la tapa y ver la posición de las levas (si no confía en la marca de la polea), en la válvula 4 las válvulas deben ser atacadas simétricamente. (es decir, uno simplemente se cierra y el otro simplemente se abre)
