I dont think its stick vnt cz it wouldnt of retracted all the way that easy. Its going in limpmode. Check boost lines and leaks in tyrbo pipes. Also check live data to c if maf amd mas are both working
@@adolg4049 limp mode causes the engine to feel like it has little to no boost, accelerating as little as 2-3 mph/s. The mode can be forced by the ECU or a symptom of mechanisms failing, such as would be in this case. Limp mode forced by the ECU is usually a symptom of bad sensors, or components that are starting to fail but still somewhat functional. I'm still learning so if someone finds mistakes in my explanation, I'm sorry. Hope this helped.
This happened to me going up on a pass twice, was going at 70mph car slowed down to 40 till i reach the summit. Then i found out if i turn off the key car it would basically unstuck, and reset . The issues happened when i was gassing sinking the pedal. Car was a tdi 1.9 jetta 1999-1/2, alh 02a manual 5speed. How i saw it?? I had a endoscopy camera I usually use for tight spaces check. After my turbo oil line leaked to almost starve the engine on a trip i placed the camera there to see this wastegate lever movement. The camera connects to my phone on wifi and i had it connected the charge through the hood and door to my usb inside the radio. If this happens to you while going up on a hill of pass and is a manual 5speed, throw in neutral or push the clutch and turn key off and and on to start engine. Be careful to do when in straight path drive, the car off will be hard to keep steering if in a turn. Its an emergency move, is always better pull over if you can
