It's a fantastic gearbox too. I had a stick jetta and absolutely loved it. VW kills it with their manuals and actually offer them unlike many manufacturers.
And the instrument panel is great, legit, no silly gimmicks, everything is so clear and ergonomic. Love it. Digital cockpit looks exiting for the first month, then you want the real thing back. Proven )))
@@sashbar Yes, on my car, it's the same: real and necessary informations just front on my eyes. I don't care If my panel can't change color (red ou bleu) if I change driving mode; or If my panel can't show me the T° in my house, or the weather in the all contries in Europe, or all silly things absolutly not necessary when I drive my car.
I very like VW Golf, and this Golf is very beautiful and looks good. But average fuel consumption 9,7l/100km for 1.5tsi 2019m not that what I expected and I hope :( Sometimes I thinking that VW Golf mk4 1999 years with legendary 1.9TDI (6l/100km) and 1.6i petrol with (9-10l/100km). And nowadays 2019m cars fuels consumption not so different or maybe same :D But at all I likes VW Golf, GTI, R-lines, and this years celebrate 45 years birthday!! Cheers!!
No, no, average consumption in TSI is 6-7l, in town it is obviously 9-10 all the time. I drove 2009 1.4 TSI and old 1.4 from 2000, the first one consumed 6-7, the other 8-10.

Do you have any issues on 1st or 2nd gear? Just heard the rumours of the manual 1.5TSI 110kw , some people complain of a kangarooring effect on 1st and a dead power zone in 2nd ... and my Leon ST FR is on the way. Have a little cold sweat drop on my back :S
TheBlackestImp Thanks for the tip. For as long as the 1st gear behaviour is simply overriden by revving it up one extra tad it wont be a problem ;) . Once I’ve got my Leon Ill test it and let u guys know.
@@alu2387 Hello, and hows your LEON? do it have the kangaro effect on cold enegine on first gear? I want to buy 1.5 TSi and im very strees up and dont know what to do. In this video you can easly see the problem on 1:48-1:50, (problem is always on 1000-1500rpm) First it get from 1000 to 1300, then it stop and next it drops to 1100 then gets to 1500 and agian drops to 1300rpm now and after you get higher (1700) its going normal and even that engine is warm (75C). Im thinking what will hapend on winter when gets easly -10outside... On 3:17 when driver is starting on 1gear you can see that is jumping like a person that is learning how to drive a car... Its a big problem with this 1.5..
@@WichuraNemesis Hi there. Mine does it too. It starts bouncing for 1-2 seconds if you apply very little gas. If you're on a q or a traffic jam is the worst. On the other hand, if you need to get away real quick and put some moderate gas, it just goes away without a problem. Also, funny thing, it doesnt do it on reverse. It's just on 1st gear. I think the problem lies in the fact that there's huge mixture of electronics combined in the car. The car has an anti-stall system .If you lift the clutch without applying gas, the car automatically revs up to 1000 rpm. On the other hand, the throtle is not physically connected to the engine. It is electronic and on top of that it is not linear on time.. this is.. if you press 30pct of the pedal, you'll get just a portion of it for a couple of seconds . So you're basically NOT in full control of either the clutch or the throttle, so when u start rolling and you think you've hit the "right spot" of the throttle and the clutch there's little chance that you may not be there yet,, you are simply being assisted by these systems. After some point when you think it's the time to release the clutch, all assistance drops and your throttle goes to the real value you're applying... and yeah.. then you start bouncing like a newbie
There's a way to overcome the bounces.. but it forces you to forget what you've been taught. Help it out a big with the throttle + lift the clutch.. Eventually, just stop applying gas.. just let it go with the clutch + antistall. Dont apply any gas until you've fully released the clutch AND (THIS IS IMPORTANT!) dont apply any gas until the 1st gear indicator shows up into the FIS. After that god damn 1 shows up.. you can rev up withtout any single bounce. This works, specially on long Q's and traffic jams. However , like I said, it forces you to "relearn" how to start rolling on a car.
I've checked lots of forums of Seat, VW, AUDI and SKODA. This problem is all over the place. ALL OVER IT. And unfortunately, most of the times the dealers dont give a fuck about us consumers. They just say they don't know what you talk about. "First time!". On the Spanish forums of the seat leon there's a bunch of lucky guys who've been installed a new software update, (there's been 2 since may!) . These updates seem to solve a problem on second gear, that the car simply lacks power for a couple of seconds. I haven't experienced this issue on my car though. The updates don't seem to have fixed the Kangaroing yet.
Did you experience any loss of power in 1st or 2nd gear? Or was it jumpy when pulling away? I saw many complaints abot 1.5 engine with manual gear box on different forums vw t-roc, vw golf, skoda karoq, skoda octavia :( I was ready to make an order, but now I don't know
@ I have an Octavia 1.5TSI, prod year is 2018. No power loss but jumpy at 1st gear. Annoying. How old is that Golf? I wonder maybe a firmwire update is available for the kangaroo issue.
@@jonasvolz9853 ok, i have the r line pack too... but if you search it online you will see that the R line comes with the GTI steering wheel, not this standard one
that is inevitable these days.... I hope that they have resolved the reliability issues form both their previous-gen TSI engines and their previous-gen DSG autos
The AE211 engines are quite good actually. You'd be speaking of the previous generation which were hand grenades. The AE211 line is SIGNIFICANTLY better.
