We going German on this episode.
I installed on this 2018 GTI the Arilift Performance 3P suspension. It was a pain in the butt to install but had fun while doing it with some friends.

I was thinking about getting a kit but didn’t see anyone on RU-vid doing it so I didn’t buy it, but you guys did a really clean job imo. Looks great

So just in case anyone is watching this and felt, like I did, that cutting a larger hole where the front strut mounts to was a bit much. Air lift sells damper extenders for this type of situation. So even if after you install it and can't reach the strut from up top, you can use the damper extender to adjust it without having to cut a larger hole like he did. But, if you need access at all times to adjust camber then you would have to make this cut. Awesome video!

The cut was made to be able to adjust camber not for the damper adjustment.

Even to adjust the camber they didn’t need to cut it. It’s taking away structural rigidity. Also. No need to remove the whole knuckle. They make a spreader tool specifically for that job.

@@NoReverse77 Without a larger hole in the top, how is the camber expected to be adjusted when you cannot access the top without dropping the entire assembly again?

@@TheRicardoMilos ball end Allen wrenches are able to fit in. Plenty of other people have don’t mk7 camber plates with no cutting and were able to adjust everything. The right tools make a world of difference.
