@@sellojohn7090 The engine is around R11500 from Mike's, not sure about courier fees though. Consider getting the 24V VR6 engine, it's got a bit more oomf at high range outputs than the standard 12V.

How hard was the decision to cut the roof. I would think twice before doing that however I would replace the back valance with a shallow tail. Great car, awesome build. VW forever!
What's with the fuel pump hanging that low to the ground. I know the Mk1 quite well. Did you have to do something to clear the fuel pump housing. I'd be a little too paranoid to have the fuel pump hanging down that low. Is this because the VR6 engine and getting rid of Bosch K-jetronic fuel injection?
mmmm how did you get a left hand drive in the country 3 or 4 yrs ago. I was under the impression left hand drives were stopped long before that.So i should be able to get a lhd truck in as well
