Im about to do this same thing tomorrow lol. Quick note for others doing this, the cover is plastic so the seal might be ok BUT the plastic cover might be warped from numerous heat cycles thus it might still leak. There's an aluminum alternative sold by USP by the brand Lager, it is a bit pricier.
Thanks for putting together and sharing this - I will have to do this (for the second time since like 2018) and probably a cylinder head reseal since my engine has been leaking oil like crazy from all the track abuse.
