There’s a comment below about clutch slip and more clamping power. I feel like this is normal though. My gti does this but not as bad (also not is38). Can you chime in?
Wild quick. I am getting the APR Stage 3 IS38 on my 2019 GLI on Monday. Very excited. Are you running the stock or aftermarket downpipe? Just curious. They no longer offer files for downpipes anymore(crazy, right?) yet it sounds like many people still upgrade the DP despite that. I just need to know if I can reliability run an aftermarket downpipe with the APR files and not have frequent MIL issues. Nice car man.
@@flamemario1 this car comes with dsg as "automatic".... Its possible to increase clamppreassure in TCU but not in a manual car. Just go for upgraded clutch.
@@evanvodicka462 idk if u have gone is38 yet but here is a great video to help u choose ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GfVuei1R0H8.html
Huh, that's because your Golf R has AWD and is probably automatic, while this GTI is FWD, and manual, which means: time loss upon gearshifts, and huge time loss upon launching due to wheelspin.

These gen3 tsi engines are good to between 4-450 reliable wheel torque before you need to think about rods. Other than that it’s a super stout engine. Remember horsepower doesn’t bend parts torque does!!!
@@adrianionut7680 lol you're so wrong. Diesel engines are made to withstand way more torque and are way more reliable than petrol cars. I have a 2.0TDI engine golf 7 its stage 1 tuned for almost 2 years now and had no issues whatsoever. Before this one i got a 1.6TDI golf 7 which was also stage 1 tuned and drove that for 3 years without any problem. I know alot of people that have diesel engines that use stage 1 daily and don't have problems for years.
