Barely quicker than a 2.0tdi till 120kmh. The 2.0tdi is probaly quicker at 120-230kmh.

@@ThenameisOskar actually i raced my friend 😂 Octavia 2.0tdi vs my Passat 1.4 both dsg. I was a lot quicker than the diesel even thought the Passat is heavier but when driving the tdi feels faster.

@@dragospahontu Alot quicker as in 5 cars difference at 0-200km/h? I doubt the passat 1.4tsi dsg7 is heavier than an octavia 2.0tdi dsg. What are the specs of the cars, like model year, engine, hp/nm etc. Did he keep the gearbox in D or did he put it in S? Putting it in S, which means it will shift at 4500 rpm, will make him accelerate less hard because these engines lose alot of torque after 4000 rpm.

@@ThenameisOskar 2020 Octavia 2020 Passat My car is 1479 kg idk about the octavia but it's smaller so there's that. Both cars were in S and i was always in the lead. Btw i have a 1.4 not a 1.5 because I ordered the car from Russia and we don't get the 1.5 yet and i think the 1.4 is faster. Probably 1.5-2 car lengths difference in the end between the cars.

@@dragospahontu That weight is including fuel and liquids. Without its 1335-1350kg. The skoda is about 1400kg without fuel and liquids. The 1.5tsi is quicker than the 1.4tsi. Its just a slight difference but i still think the 1.5tsi is a bit smoother. So you were 1.5-2 cars ahead in the lead, what kind of accelerations did you guys do? If you did 0-100kmh, then ye obviously you will win those, but have you tried 100-200? Or 100-230? On short distances petrol cars with same amount of power will win, but on long pulls the diesel wins most of the time. I just checked the 0-100km/h of the octavia 2.0tdi dsg. Its the same as my 2016 model Passat Variant 2.0tdi 6 speed manual lol. I got mine tuned now, on the speedo 0-100 is about 7.8 seconds (1.1 second quicker than stock).
