I appreciate the video. I just bought a '15 TDI SE with DSG instead of manual. It didn't come with an owner's manual, so videos like these are really nice. Subscribed.
Just got myself a B7 Passat, and fund this video interesting! Still haven't had much time to sit and play with buttons and features yet lol. Thanks for making this video
Excellent video !. Do you know how to re-code the rear taillights so that the clear strip works as the turn signal indicator instead of the red coloured section; I know european market cars are programmed that way.
the box under the front passenger seat is actually the telematics module (address 75). Body control module/Central Electronics module (address 09) is the box under the drivers seat. Bluetooth is smooshed behind the RCD/RNS-510 in dash. Older Passats did have the bluetooth under the passenger seat (early early '14 & older)
Nice video. Liked it very much. Can you please guide how to get back the seat belt warning chime back. Mine have suddenly stopped giving the alarm sound, though the red indicator for seat belt is working in the dash.
I live in South Africa and bought a 2015 2.0 TDi Rline, it is strange how the series differ between countries. I have features not regularly found in the 2015 and at the same time the B8 has stuff I do not have. Anyhow my car is frugal and a beast at the same time. Love to drive it. I am 57 yrs old and bar a write off this will be my forever car.
Hey! Yes this is a Passat diesel question but it has nothing to do with this. I bought a wheel with paddles to swap to mine, what kind of coding will I expect to use to get the paddles to be functional? Will I get an airbag light?
Hi exelent video i have the passat 2012 im try to add a new key fob but i dont know if is the same that in the video tutorial that you have. Thank you for your time
Where is the Blue def screen ? & Transmission fluid screen ? How much do i put in ? How much can it hold, What is the capacity of the def tank ? And if i ad def blue when its not empty wont it run out the hole ?
I used to have oil temperature reading, then i noted after dealership changed the oil, it does not show any more, just dash. How can I enable it again?
you've missed two buttons right in the dashboard, I can't understand what they do or how to use them. also, what do I do if my car doesn't have menu navigation buttons on the right side of the wheel?
Thank you for the informative video. We have a 2015 Passat TDI SE with a 6 speed automatic transmission. We are having trouble with the automatic headlights. We have the VCDS software and have made some changes but do not have an original autoscan. The window sticker says that the car has automatic headlights and there is a notch for auto on the light switch. My husband claims that the car didn't come with automatic headlights but I believe that he has changed something in the coding to turn them off. We both agree that the car doesn't have the rain sensor. And, the rear view mirror only has the manual trigger to dim it so it definitely does not have the automatic dimming rearview. Can anyone please tell us if the 2015 SE has the automatic headlights, where the light sensor it, and what modules would contain the coding which could affect operation of the headlights? Thank you.
My 2013 does not have a outside key hole?!? But has the window op, not sure how to use it.. I used to have a 2001 jetta and insert key turn to unlock and hd would make all windows go down but holding unlock button down doesn't do anything on this car? !? Any suggestions
I have a 2013 Passat 3.6 SEL Premium and i have the same power seat. I hate that it doesn’t adjust the front of the seat. Otherwise, the car is awesome!
isnt this a VW Jetta? passat B7 is totally different car it has different middle console and different trunk and seats folding or maybe in UK VW sells Jetta as Passat B7 idk
Whatever happened to the good old days where half a dozen knobs and buttons worked everything and you still got from A to B. Not sure how anyone can work a bank of computers and drive at the same time.
If you contact Volkswagen about the settlement and the buyback you can repair the car yourself but if you have the dealer repair the car you will not get the candy back the only way to keep the kitties repair the car yourself
So VW have admitted defeat by fitting a 'normal' handbrake (parking brake) instead of the electric handbrake. Why have they gone back to having an actual key.
