Getting and entering the radio safe/lock code for this Volkswagen radio out of an 04 Touareg. You do have to pay to use the service to get the code but it saves going to the dealer
I found the sticker, but no separate 4 number code other then one in vehicle ident number xx-x-xxxx xxx xx looks like this , is the third number combination the one You are refering to?
The code was separate from that longer string of numbers and indented below it. It will not permanently lock you out if try. But you may have to wait to try again after a few attempts. Not sure how reliable this info is but it seems to have worked for me.
Starting what year is the Radio "recognized" by the Network... which then does not require a PIN (network determines that the radio is stock / meant to be in vehicle and is then unlocked)?
That’s the part I don’t get. I ran into that issue in my 03 golf when I swapped ecu/cluster as it no longer matched so I assume the mk4 platform would’ve been the first? This Touareg radio was supposedly original with this car so I would assume it would unlock after some key on time which it didn’t.
Sorry I missed your comment, I used ActivePresenter with a cheaper microphone. You can record full screen or a cropped area and the program records audio and webcam (if needed) at the same time so the videos ready to go.
servis charge so much to unlock this radio when u don´t have a code - this is like fraud - good we can bypass this - btw. I hear I can turn on radio and just hold button for 40-50min to fix that
They do lock you out for a fixed amount of time if you enter the wrong code too many times. I’d cycle power and see if it’ll let you put the code in again.
@@veronicasava3522 yes or you could take out your radio unplug it and plug it back in it will reset the radio so you can enter the code but if it’s too much work to take apart your car just leave the car running for an hour and it should reset and show number 1000 where you can type in your code.
