Great video . Clear instructions I didn’t know about draining the mechatronics part so will need to do that as my oil is due changed shortly . Also agree with you on the filter change can’t see why they don’t believe it needs changed , oil and filters are cheap compared to rebuilding gearboxes in my book . Very clear instructions, certainly taught me something new there. Just glad I am not paying the bill with brakes being done as well.

I have a 2017 A4 with the DL382 0CL 7 speed DSG it is a bit different than this 7 speed. There is no serviceable filter, its built into the mechatronics unit. There are 2 different fluids within the transmission, DSG fluid for the clutches and mechatronics @40k service intervals and a separate gear oil for the gears and I haven't figured out the OCI for it yet. There is a specific drain hole and fill hole and the standpipe is built into the fill hole, not removable. Anyways the level in DSG transmissions is set by the standpipe at a specific temperature and just like shown here everytime I've serviced one it appears to be overfilled from the factory. In your video way more flows out when the plug is pulled than is contained in the standpipe itself and yours is cold too. Just an observation. Good video. I've notice that you drain out also the oil from the Mechatronic Unit( 1,2 l )but you didn't say how you fill it up again and what kind of oil it is suitable. And something else: how did you unmount those two air plastic pipes before you reach to the oil filter, because i tried, but did not succeed. Probable something is missing me. Thxs for the video love your content. I just got my seat Tarraco dsg DQ500 get box serviced and the dealer was adamant the filter is no longer part of the service for this 7 speed dsg box. They say every 40k but now I’m thinking it should be oil changed every 20-30k?

Looking to purchase a diesel dsg vw touran or tiguan. I'm avoiding the 1.6tdi in the touran as they have the dreaded dq200 dry clutch. Can someone please confirm which touran and tiguan diesels have 7 speed wet clutch? I know some 2.0L engine have 6speed wet dsg but do any have 7 speed wet? Which years etc that's serviceable i.e. fluid and filter every 40K-ish Thanks ✌️

Great instruction! Thanks Dave. One question, have you measured how much excessive oil drained out? I put 6 liters and about 1,5liters drained at 38 degree Celsius with running engine. I am wondering if it is too much...

Great stuff Dave....I really like that adaptor you have for refilling the trans.....my mitivac system has the tubes but that adaptor was cool... seems the 7 speed has quite the process compared to the 6 speed DSG.... my GTI has the 6 speed but only 10k miles (yet I'm on the 3rd set of tyers) lol..... but I should be doing this based on time soon....

Did you re-use the Mechatronic Washer? Didn't see it in your list of parts laid out on the workbench there.

Hi There Dave I have a VW Tiguan 2015 SUV 2.0 TDI 4 Motion AWD - 5N 1968cc 110KW 150 HP CUVC. 7 speed Manual engine Vehicle . 34000 miles I have now got some of the tools.i was wondering if you could tell me what is the Torque NM for the gearbox bolts. I have a very mild seepage of oil. If you take a look at the vid between 14.36 mins to roughly 14.39.mins. Also would you be kind enough to point out where do I Get the PDf files you were looking at on your laptop. Paid or free. Any help would be appreciated Cheers I could also take a picture for you. This is not the DQ500? Thought all Tiguan 2.0TDI 5N 4motion had the 7speed wet clutch (DQ500).

I keep a 2014 Audi Q3 CFFB Stronic and sometimes when cold plod it and for a short period of time or to engage the D or R, it makes me and I don't like it at all. I have also noticed that when I make that noise the car smells of pollution, the revolutions oscillate slightly and give the occasional jerk. I have thought that some injector is failing what do you think ......

What is the box in the Škoda Superb 2017. AMBITION 1.6 TDI 120BHP DSG 4DR. Is the dry clutch , oil serviceable? . Is it the one with no filter and you fill it back in through the breather vent on top. Do you think it should be done at 40k miles (60kkm)
