My second vehicle was a 1972 Squareback with some body damage, worn interior, original EFI converted to dual Solexes, etc., but what memories! That little car had so much character & never let me down. I still miss it to this day 😢
Had four squareback in my younger years, then 10 Porsche 356s including a mint 356A Speedster. Now back to my 5th squareback, a mint example on Michigan that spent majority of life in California. Type 3s are beginning to get the attention of early buses Just FUN cars

My dad had a fastback 2-door VW type 3 - nice car, at least I liked it. For some reason he changed it a Volvo 1800 Sports - which was, admittedly very fast - but personally I preferred the VW. I loved the sound the engine made, and it seemed comfortable. On this video there are a lot of cars with lowered suspension - to my eye they look absurd, and doing that to a lovely classic is nothing short of sacrilege... but thanks for the video, it brings back good memories.
A short while back now this Sunday I saw a 1975 vw vans but it looked like a type 3 I’d never seen before different front end lights trunk lid both side rear windows were long not separate on each side three windows bumpers never this vw in the USA what I see learn on vws automobiles from this I pad I love it could write a best seller if done properly in my 76 years I have seen plenty right wrong or could surely be done mucho nicer more safer I miss the New York State Long Island vw auto club mostly nassau suffolks counties volks but else where a bit well oldest repeat is presidents 1960 vw beetle treasuredinero person 1959 beetle very very clean 1954 beetle with semaphore turn signals do they blink or could be done not sure 25 hp motor 1967 president karmen Gaia condition is well his 1960 is very well restored I have seen it my work self employed involves cleaning auto shops well I’ll now but what I have seen learned about autos would make some volks very sick why we make cars autos not better safer more simple done better to use less fuel or not so crowded roads safer driving to ride in more organized inside out with things in proper places to drive safer find items or else is the nut loco drunk drugs operating it behind the wheel worse than a very well made machine to use drive more and more volks are on drugs in a hurry hurry half a sleep using them mucho more killed in crashes auto related how sad even besides autos we donot slow down work less for the almighty dollar enjoy life more our senoras senoritas families or more in our communities where we live see my past remarks
