Nice work on the whole job! I did a beam on a T3 however I did it with a front horn from a T1. It set back into the tunnel about 12" and welded All around. Works beautifully. Nice work dude
Dude! That was an awesome video!! I’m building a Squareback and ordered a front beam pretty much like what you built. Can’t wait to install it. Loved seeing the detail in your video. It will definitely help me on my install!! Thanks you!
Nice job you can weld the gas tank with bronze sticks is safe you can put a/c acid inside of the tank and let run for 1/2 hour and wash really good let him dry and then you can weld it. Never short cuts. Good vibes all the way nice job I’m looking for the same car.
Couldnt you make the bag placement on the other side of the beam and the top to be stationary? Make the bottom drop when you air up and then you wouldn’t have to cut the tank…
Why doesn't this video have more views? Except for the annoying music, it is a great visual of a type 1 bagged beam mounted on a type 3. A couple of questions: Why does it need shocks mounted if you are using the airbag? Is a narrower beam or stock width? Where in the USA can this beam be purchased?
Have you driven the car since you've installed the single bag suspension? How does it corner What does it do if only your right tire hits a Bump and not the left
sorry for the late response but it handles great. it rides even nicer than I was expecting. one side bumps aren’t a problem the through bars have enough flex to absorb the shock just like a sway bar. cheers
